YAWN!! Cindy Sheehan Announces Run Against Pelosi

Whoa. Talk about an overinflated self image. Cindy Sheehan still doesn’t get it. The Democrats used her as a prop to lure the anti-war left into thinking that they really gave a crap what the Sheehan’s of the world stood for. The reality however is that Sheehan was a convenient stooge and perhaps the shrillest voice in a forest of shrill Bush haters. Perfect fodder for Democrats at the time, but now she is just an embarrassing thorn in their side because the impeachment of President Bush has stalled.
Consequently she has decided to take up her crusade against the “Bush regime” by personally running against Nancy Pelosi.
SAN FRANCISCO — A tearful Cindy Sheehan cited her son, killed in Iraq, as her inspiration as she announced her candidacy Thursday for the U.S. House against Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
Sheehan last month said she intended to run against Pelosi, the House speaker, if the San Francisco congresswoman didn’t move to impeach President Bush by July 23.
Sheehan said Thursday that Pelosi had “protected the status quo” of the corporate elite and had lost touch with people in her district, most of whom want American troops out of Iraq.
Calls to Pelosi’s office seeking comment were not immediately returned.
Why should Pelosi respond? She is too crafty to take that bait. Sheehan will be ignored, either by silence or with a trite passing statement. Eventually she will become a non-issue.
But I do find it interesting and a slight bit ironic that Sheehan is using the Democrats words against them.
“The country is ripe for a change,” said Sheehan, who spoke at a podium with her son’s photograph attached to it. “It’s going to start right here and right now.”
Although Sheehan has no money I’m sure she can place a call to her idol Hugo Chavez for a good lift.
YAWN!!!! For as much as I disagree with Nancy Pelosi someone would have to chew my hand off and stick a pen in it to get me to put a check mark next to Sheehan’s name.

Webloggin Editor,
Thank you so much for this entry. I needed a good chuckle and got it on your last remark.
I did write on another site that I am not a big reality show person. I feel that there are enough loons on the streets to watch so I didn’t think I needed to watch any of these shows. Most of which I think are sheer stupidity anyway. I don’t understand how people can be “Lost” on an island for what 4 years now with other people coming and going and they have a cell phone and laptop that are still charged and working and no power? Where did they get their batteries? Or why anyone would want to bake somewhere and eat bugs. How ever I do watch the Dog at least that I understand. I have probably never listened to a Kiss song willingly. I have watched some of the Simmons shows and it’s funny. He has a good family. I like the jokes they play on him. But it’s a good family show too.
But anyway I’m off subject. I think the mentality of these two could fit in in area.
However the Pelosi and Sheehan drama could make the reality circut. Just think of the mind tingling cliff hangers every week with the next installment to wait for.
There is absolutly no way I could ever keep a straight face and watch these two on a debate. Can you just imagine the cliff hanger because since we have to wait through a whole season for the next installment and we still wouldn’t have had the election.
I wonder when the campaigning for the next election will start the day after the next swearing in?
Thanks again for the laugh.
Hi Ir,
Thanks for stopping by. We always appreciate your comments.
I listened to Sheehan today on the radio and she sounds a bit unhinged. At one time I felt sorry for her, now it is just sad. She doesn’t understand how politics works and was taken advantage of by the Democrats at what must have be the most horrendous experience for any parent.
I don’t think Pelosi will give it much thought. It would be nice to see a debate but I have a feeling that money will be the least of Sheehan’s woes and it will never get that far.
The media loves a train wreck so I expect to hear more from her as time goes on.

At first I too think I felt sorry for her but that went down hill real fast.
As far as not understanding politics I have a hard time with her understanding a lot of things At this point I don’t think she understands the directions on the top of her ceral box on how to open it. For that matter I think Pelosi might be challanged there too.
I agree the great debate will probably never happen but it would break all of the Neilson records. Just think of the TVO’S and the power drain. But we can always dream of the good laughs. Gee I wonder who the mc would be? There are so many great drained brains out there.
I do think if one or two of the “I’m going to be the greatest” media whacks that are running around out there, one of them will give something a try. It always happens when they are the greatest living legends in their own minds.
Have a great weekend.
