Washington Post Pulls Back Call on Cardin – Steele Refusing to Concede

The Washington Post has put Steele back in play. Michael Steele is refusing to concede because it’s too close to call. Fox and CNN called for Cardin early but I think this may have been a case of poor exit polling.

Don’t give up on Steele yet.

Allen lead down to 11,000 votes, 96% of vote in.

Update: I was watching Michael Barone give his explanation of the Fox call and most of it rests on the fact that Steele is not winning Republican strongholds by traditional margins. However, it is prudent to mention that Steele will need traditional Democrats if he is to pull this off. That said it looks like Carding may pull off a squeaker here.

Michelle notes that there are quite a few blue precincts left and Cardin may have the advantage. Absentee Ballots may be the deciding factor here.
