Woodinville, Washington, a suburb of Seattle is in the news because three multimillion dollar model homes have been “gutted” and two others have smoke damage due to fires that may have been caused by domestic terrorism. A sign reading “Built Green? Nope black!” with the environmentalist group Earth Liberation Front’s initials was found near the scene.
Fire Chief Rick Eastman of Snohomish County District 7, said that crews removed explosive devices from the homes. FBI and other officials are investigating.
The AP also reports:
The homes, none of which had been purchased, are in a development near the headwaters of Bear Creek, which is home to endangered chinook salmon. Opponents had questioned whether the luxury homes could pollute the creek and an aquifer that is a drinking water source, and whether enough was done to protect nearby wetlands.
The sign, a sheet with red scraggly letters, said “McMansions in RCDs r not green,” a reference to rural cluster developments.

The Earth Liberation Front is a loose collection of radical environmentalists known for trying to cause economic damage to companies or organizations that, in its opinion, harm the environment.
Gee, I wonder how much “environmental damage” the fires caused?
As an aside, I couldn’t help but notice how similar the names of radical environmentalists are to radical Islam. For example, Earth Liberation Front and Moro Islamic Liberation Front are very similar. I’m just saying.
