(Video) Foley Lawyer Says Former Congressman Molested by Priest as a Teen

I have the part where Mark Foley’s attorney states that Mr. Foley never molested any children. The rest is commentary from Lou Dobbs indicating that Foley’s attorney is claiming that Mr. Foley was molested as a teen by a member of the clergy.
Attorney for Foley Press Conference on Lou Dobbs
I personally don’t like this victim game that the 54 year old former member of Congress is playing. He was a tenured member of Congress and a co-chair of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. He understands the law and his actions very well. This is a disgrace.
Update : Captain Ed Agrees with me here:
He’s fifty-four years old! If he had problems, it was incumbent on him to address them some other way than by engaging in cybersex masturbation sessions between votes in the House. The entire exercise insults the intelligence, especially the part where Foley’s attorney assures people that Foley isn’t using these revelations as excuses. Of course he’s using them as excuses — otherwise, why make the announcements at all? To keep his fan club informed of his state of mind?

Four stories on Foley is three too many. People who don’t live here (PB County) don’t have a clue. In fact most of us don’t have a clue either. I can tell you that attributing a degree of intelligence to people you don’t like is generally a waste of time. Uncovering a conspiracy generally uncovers stupidity, not craft. Foley is an opportunist. A predator.
Hi,
I wish it would be three too many. Unfortunately I think the dems will do their best to keep this story alive as long as possible. Webloggin contains the perspective of many writers and the Foley story just happens to be the story of the day on the Internet and in the media. There is a lot of information out there and this latest attempt by those who defend Foley to paint him as a victim goes beyond the pale.
My neighbors who are not political junkies hadn’t heard of the story. This implies that the story has limited feet. We’ll see if it fizzles out or has larger staying power.
I think there is something to those who suggest that the left may be overplaying their hand on this one. We will see.
