This Is What Happens When You Don’t Fight Back - A BDS Perspective

Let’s start this story from reverse by looking at policy:
President Musharraf has previously said security forces cannot raid the mosque for fear of reprisal suicide attacks.
Now lets look at the result of that policy:
At least nine people have been killed in clashes between security forces and militant students at a mosque in the Pakistani capital, officials say.
A soldier, two students and a journalist were among the dead.
After several hours of shooting outside the controversial Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) a ceasefire was negotiated.
Armed students at the mosque and religious schools linked to it have defied the authorities for months in a campaign for Islamic Sharia law.
The mosque and the two madrassas (religious schools) attached to it - one for men, the other for women - have been at the centre of a number of high-profile incidents.
These include the kidnapping of police and people the mosque’s leaders say are involved in immoral activities such as prostitution.
I don’t know what its going to take to wake up the one half of this country that thinks as John Edwards does, that the war on terror is some kind of bumper sticker, but it is clear to me that these people suffer from delusions.
The world is on fire with the ravages of radical Islamic terrorism and the American left continues on with their desperately asinine attempts to accumulate and hold onto power by downplaying the threat.
Today serves as a perfect example of how mind numbingly stupid the Democrats really are acting. Rather than ranting and raving about the dangers of the global Jihad they are frothing at the mouth with Bush Derangement Syndrome over the the commuted sentence of Scooter Libby, a guy who got railroaded by an overzealous federal prosecutor. Keep in mind that Libby was still convicted of a felony because it wasn’t a full pardon; only the prison sentence was commuted. Yet idiots like Jesse Jackson Jr. are calling for President Bush’s impeachment over the issue. Have at it moron.
Hillary Clinton takes the cake for hypocrisy as she cawed her revolt at Bush’s actions.
What we saw today was elevating cronyism over the rule of law. And what we saw today was further evidence that this administration has no regard whatsoever for what needs to be held sacred,” she told the BBC.
I wonder if she had the same sort of disdain when Bill Clinton pardoned a convicted cocaine dealer (Salon.com, World Net Daily). We know she didn’t have too much furor when her husband pardoned fugitive financier Marc Rich who just happened to donate over a million dollars to Democratic causes (i.e. mostly Clinton causes) through his wife, evoking images of a pay for pardon scandal.
Marc Rich’s socialite ex-wife has donated an estimated $1 million to Democratic causes, including $70,000 to Hillary Clinton’s successful Senate campaign and $450,000 to the Clinton presidential library fund. She also lobbied heavily for Marc’s pardon.
So one can only assume that Democrats are less than concerned with terrorism because you hear little proactive rhetoric coming out of their mouths on that front other than the occasional “we will protect America better” speech (in between various Bush is evil incarnate screeds).
Now that the Democrats want to pull out of Iraq I think that these are important questions. How much better do we get than not having been attacked since 9/11? How will we win the war on terror if we don’t plan to fight back? I need to see the particulars of these claims.
Until that time I will use the everyday examples of worldwide terrorism as an example of what we are up against and not treat it as an an exception. Today’s events in Pakistan are front and center. Spare me the BDS, I think its time to move on.

Agreed. It’s sad to think that these people are the best that America has to offer. Both sides of the aisle need to get their heads out of their asses and get with the America first program. It is their job after all!
