The Ridiculous Media Outrage Over The New Yorker Cover

The insight of the day on the overreaction by both the MSM and the American left to the New Yorker Osama-Obama cover can be attributed to both Rick Moran at American Thinker and Michelle Malkin. (h/t Bookworm)

One look at this and the Obama campaign hit the roof. Despite the fact that The New Yorker was lampooning conservatives by portraying some on the right’s overheated descriptions of Obama, spokesman Bill Burton for the Obama campaign said “The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”

Well, I don’t agree. I find it pretty rich even if they are poking fun at conservatives. But what should trouble anyone is how thin Obama’s skin truly is if he can’t take a little satire from his friends on the left!

Michelle Malkin puts it nicely when she headlines her post “Grow a pair, Obama” and says “So, you found this satirical New Yorker cover art “tasteless and offensive.” Welcome to public life. Guess what? In Washington, political cartoonists and caricaturists spare no one.”

Thomas Lifson reminds us that the MSM was quite happy to sit idly by while the morons on the left depicted George Bush as Hitler.

Keep this in mind when you see the leftist MSM over reaction to the New Yorker Cover

Note that the thought police on the left are once again trying to frame this as a racist attack on Michelle Obama and her big daddy Barack Obama (her term, not mine). Give me a break.

I don’t recall that the Chicago Tribune ran a poll asking if the public was outraged the last time Bush was depicted as Hitler, yet that is exactly what these clueless cheerleaders for the American left did yesterday over the Obama cover. Get it?

This is a perfect indication of why these prehistoric entities are bottom feeders with regard to circulation. Who the hell wants to buy a paper from a bunch of infantile supposed journalists that are so far in the bag for Barack Obama that they are literally making a mockery of their profession? They can keep their rags thank you very much.

We owe the New Yorker a big thank you. Rather than parody the American right they exposed the American Left for the hypocritical bunch of control freaks that they really are. The parody is on them.
