The Joining of the Cindy’s, McKinney Teams up with Sheehan, Sheen

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is finding herself in a bit of a bind as she is forced into a runoff in the Democrat primary elections.

McKinney was expected to win the primary with ease but it appears that her looniness has gotten the best of her.

“Few political analysts expected McKinney to have much trouble in her re-election bid even though her longheld status as a political lightning rod reached new heights over her very public confrontation with the Capitol guard.”

This is why you never trust political analysts. You know the type, the ones who check Zogby polls everyday to gauge the sentiment of “the people”. Note, “the people” is code for liberal elite or liberal elitist feelings but is never meant to include that of red state America.

I am a bit surprised that the typical democrat strategy plans didn’t work out for McKinney, NOT.

Using a strategy that has been effective before, McKinney ran a low-key campaign — even refusing to appear at major debates against her challengers.

In other words, don’t debate or let people she too much of who you really are.

But it gets better. McKinney has decided to pull out the big guns as she teamed up with Cindy Sheehan in what was likely an orgasmic display of Bush bashing.

McKinney was largely criticized for questioning the Bush administration’s advance knowledge of the Sept. 11 attacks, claiming the president allowed them to happen so his friends could profit from the bloodshed.

At her party, McKinney continued to flaunt her opposition to the Iraq war. She entered the auditorium with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan and also was joined by Patricia Roberts, whose son, Jamaal Addison, was the first Georgia soldier killed in the war.

But it is all in good fun for McKinney.

We’ve been here before, but you know what? It is impossible to keep a good woman down,” McKinney told cheering supporters, shortly after dancing and playing a tambourine.

I wonder what her excuse is?

Perhaps the most bizarre observation speaks more to truth than the left would like to admit.

Some political observers said the scuffle helped reinforce her image in her mostly black suburban Atlanta district as someone unafraid to stand up against authority.

So let me get this straight. Democrats plan to win by not debating, standing up to authority by hitting a cop, joining Charlie Sheen and Cindy Sheehan in pre 9-11 conspiracy theories, and dancing around with a tambourine while characterizing yourself as good.

Finally, the left has a plan that will appeal to their base!

  1. [...] Who can forget Cynthia McKinney’s claims of racism when she accused Capital Hill police of acting against her? Likewise, let’s not forget that Rep. William Jefferson implied that racism was behind the government investigation into his freezer full of cash. [...]
