The Gals Are Into Palin’s Shoes

I attended a small get together last night and the conversation broke out into politics. Now I must admit that I was one of the few guys there so I really didn’t get a word in edgewise because the gals were a bit excited. The conversation wasn’t about just any politics, nope, the girls were talking with an exuberant joy over John McCain’s pick of Sarah Palin to round out the conservative ticket.
As a straight guy there are certain things that just didn’t pop into my head while watching Sarah Palin speak in Ohio. Specifically I didn’t really notice her shoes. But the girls did. Apparently Sarah Palin’s shoes are hot. Who knew?
Well actually they knew. So we did a Google search and yup, sure enough, others did as well.
The shoe is the fashionable Apepazza Musa patent leather peep toe pump with an updated silhouette, in hot red of course. And for $134 at Zappos they are affordable too.

It’s not just this little idea that the next Vice President of the United States might be a woman in hot shoes that has them excited. The point is that women across American that watched Sarah Palin’s speech were all amped up on her style; the way she spoke, the way she handled herself and yes, the way she dressed. They were excited and very much in tune; identifying with one of the first personally identifiable politicians that has been hoisted up on that stage in quite some time.
Sarah Palin comes across as a real person, sincere and outside the typical Washington insider mold. That is the kind of person that not only energizes the base but reaches across the aisle and provides an alternative to a Democratic ticket where the number 1 guy launched his career at the home of two American terrorists and the number 2 guy has been in Washington since the days of Richard Nixon.
