Just out to shoot off a few “fireworks”.
They were NOT fireworks folks — they were EXPLOSIVES: Egyptian students at the University of South Florida who were arrested in South Carolina have been indicted on federal charges for carrying explosives across states lines. Twenty-four-year-old Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed and 21-year-old Youssef Samir Megahed:
One of the men also is charged with teaching the other how to use the material for violent reasons.
Twenty-four-year-old Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.
He and 21-year-old Youssef Samir Megahed were stopped for speeding in Goose Creek on August 4th. Officers asked to search the vehicle, and discovered the suspicious items located in the trunk. The suspects had admitted to having what they termed “fireworks” in the car.
Officers say the two had a pipe bomb in the trunk of the car, as well as materials to make pipe bombs. (MORE)

Mohamed was charged with distributing information relating to explosives, destructive devices, and weapons of mass destruction, which is a terrorism statute, a Justice Department official said. The crime faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
