Sen. Dianne Feinstein Tells Her Constituents to F’Off, Senate Passes Bailout

According to the Politico Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) received 91,000 phone calls about the bailout, with 85,000 callers telling her to vote no. Feinstein said she’s voting ‘Yea’ for the bailout anyway.

True to her form, Feinstein joined 73 of her colleagues in giving American taxpayers the middle finger as they snuck in a bunch of handouts before voting to fleece American taxpayers with the bailout to nowhere.

Update: Earlier descriptions of the plan included the phrase “tax earmarks” to describe tax beaks.  According to Hot Air this wording was misleading. The inclusion of extra tax breaks is intended to woo Republicans that were on the fence.

It would be nice to know how many people that withdrew their money from Washington Mutual would have fallen in the $150,000 to $250,000 dollar range that is now part of the extended FDIC protections; i.e would that extra coverage really have made a difference to many people and prevented a run on the bank?
