Republican Jindal Proves that True Conservatives Get Elected

The Democrat hate machine is screaming in pain this morning. U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal won the Louisiana governor’s race in a not so hotly contested campaign that ended up being the highest spending campaign in Louisiana history.
This victory is huge for many reasons but most importantly because it demonstrates that Republicans can still win despite the mainstream medias slime machine. Jindal is a Roman Catholic immigrant from India who supports the war in Iraq, is pro choice and is on the side of American’s right to bear arms under the 2nd amendment. Ouch.
Jindal’s victory also punches a hole right in the middle of some of the more asinine stances that the mainstream media has taken on Katrina. Make no mistake about it, Louisiana governor Kathleen Blanco bowed out because of her incompetence surrounding the Hurricane recovery and events that led to such a disaster. Louisiana voters who lived the Democrat led debacle placed blame squarely at their feet despite the fact that mainstream media lap dogs sided with Democrats in blaming President Bush and Republicans.
Such a clear message is a slap in the face to detractors of the Republican party on a myriad of issues. For instance, how could Republicans have an immigrant in their party if they are anti-immigrant? Answer: This is just another lie from the democrat hate machine that has been waging a war of fact free politics for quite some time. Republicans are a diverse group that is anti-illegal-immigration, this is a far cry from anti-immigrant. Americans are starting to do the math and the Democrat rhetoric just doesn’t add up.
Michelle Malkin notes that Democrats pulled out all stops to disparage and slime the name of the rising GOP star.
You should note that the dirty Democrat attack ad on Jindal that was up on You Tube has been removed by the user (lesson to the wise, always back up a copy of any video you link up on you tube). No matter though, Democrats are finally coming to realize that their dirty campaigns of lies, half truths and down right sleaze are coming home to roost.
Jindal, the Republican 36-year-old son of Indian immigrants, carried more than half the vote against 11 opponents. With about 87 percent of the vote in, Jindal had 53 percent with 588,002 - more than enough to win outright and avoid a Nov. 17 runoff.
“Let’s give our homeland, the great state of Louisiana, a fresh start,” Jindal said to cheers and applause from a crowd that began chanting his name at his victory party.
His nearest competitors: Democrat Walter Boasso with 196,104 votes or 18 percent; Independent John Georges had 156,962 votes or 14 percent; Democrat Foster Campbell with 141,346 or 13 percent. Eight candidates divided the rest.
Jindal is a Roman Catholic. What a beautiful exclamation on how wrong Democrats can be when it comes to putting their finger on the pulse of an electorate. Jindal’s win should be the model for conservatives that want to rescue the party from the old school elites that did everything to keep themselves into power at the peril of the conservative base and to the detriment of the American people.
“My mom and dad came to this country in pursuit of the American dream. And guess what happened. They found the American dream to be alive and well right here in Louisiana,” he said to cheers and applause at his victory party.

Jindal, who takes office in January, pledged to fight corruption and rid the state of those “feeding at the public trough,” revisiting a campaign theme.
“They can either go quietly or they can go loudly, but either way, they will go,” he said, adding that he would call the Legislature into special session to address ethics reform.
Jindal is proof that Republicans can get elected as long as the choices are people that adhere to conservative values.
Here is a snapshot of some of Jindal’s stances
- Jindal is pro-life
- He supported an amendment banning flag burning
- He supported election fraud reform via the Real ID act
- He has an A Rating from Gun Owners of America
- He wants to eliminate a moratorium on off shore drilling
- He supports the war in Iraq
Don’t but into the line that Conservatives have to sell out their values to get elected. On the contrary, they need to stick to those values. Anybody who tells you otherwise is simply lying or misguided. Just ask Governor Bobby Jindal.
