Thursday, September 11, 2008, marks the 7th anniversary of the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks against our nation. Few people if any seem to be focused on this upcoming anniversary this week — it’s almost as if many Americans have forgotten those 3,000+ lives lost, and the way in which those attacks forever changed our world.

But we cannot forget, we must not forget to honor those who died, including those many heroes who tried to help save lives, or retake an airplane.

And perhaps most importantly, we must realize that the radical Islamists who attacked us on that fateful day, are still at war with America and the West. They still wish to kill more innocent civilians and weaken the resolve of the Free World in standing up to their terror, tyranny and bloodshed.

There is a very important event taking place this Thursday, Septemeber 11th — a special 9/11 screening of the film “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West” at 6:00pm at the AMC Fairlane 21 Theater (located at 18900 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, MI).

Even if you don’t live in Michigan, your help is needed spreading the word. Post the announcement of this event on blogs or websites. Contact your friends or family who live in Michigan. Urge them to join us that evening.

It is important to note that most Muslims reject the acts of terror and bloodshed that are used by radical Islamic jihadists. However, it is also worth noting that at times some of those same Muslim groups or leaders say one thing in public, but undertake actions behind-the-scenes that undermine the West’s efforts to defeat the jihadists.

We must be able to gather in any American city on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and speak in one voice to denounce not just those attacks and the perpretrators behind them, but those radical Islamists who are currently plotting, raising money, securing weapons or explosives, to be used in the next terrorist attack against America or our allies.

That’s what the terrorists were attacking on 9/11/2001 — who we are, and what we stand for. Because they view us as infidels who stand in the way of their perverse plans for an Islamic caliphate to spread across the globe, they attack, maim and kill in an attempt to bully free people and free nations to stand idle and do nothing while they spread their cancerous beliefs.
