Put the Pollsters Out of Business

Tomorrows election is not simply a referendum on Barack Obama. Hanging in the balance is the credibility of the pollsters that have strategically oversampled Democrats with weighting schemes that couldn’t help but show that Barack Obama leading.

Tomorrow they move from spin mode to exit polling mode and we are reminded that those same exit polls got it wrong for Obama in the primaries.

For all the precautions, the networks’ decision desks will still be analyzing the exit poll with some wariness. In both 2004 and 2006, the polls overstated the Democratic vote in many states. Because of that, Fox News stopped relying on the data halfway through election night in 2006, declaring it unreliable.

A similar problem cropped up during this year’s primaries, when exit polls often showed a greater lead for Sen. Barack Obama than the actual vote, decision desk directors said.

If John McCain defies the pollsters and beats back the mainstream media both industries will be devastated by their institutional bias.

Unlike Barack Obama I am not one to wish ill on American industries but I will gladly make an exception if John McCain wins. If that turns out to be the case I will gladly revel in seeing those industries turned upside down and all of their leftist workers put into soup lines. Propagandists deserve no better.

Bottom line, GET OUT AND VOTE WHATEVER THE POLLS SAY!!!

I atypically avoid the news networks so I am not parroting their responses or adopting their worldview.
Last night I thought the Steelers were playing at 830, so I flipped on Fox News for a few minutes and saw they had election coverage. They showed something that red flagged their findings. They showed party loyalty and the figure for the democrats was over 90% (92% I believe). Republicans was 89%. I have met more democrats this cycle who are PUMA and voting the first time for a republican I knew the data was wrong. They also showed Florida leaning Obama and the senior vote heavy for Mc Cain and the hispanic vote heavy for Mc Cain. Again red flag. How the one is not up by 25 with the cheerleading of the MSM is beyond me.
I still say the catholic vote and the senior vote is the two major factors in this election.
Good piece, I enjoy your blog and your widget.

    Hi John,

Let’s hope we prevail this election day!! I know a friend that has had to hide her enthusiasm for McCain because her boss is a die hard lib. I am hopeful that there are many people with the same sort of hidden inner convictions.

    Thanks for stopping by Webloggin!
