It has become increasingly clear that certain members of Congress, businesses seeking low wage labor and various government agencies have no desire to stop the flood of Illegal Immigrants that have breached our borders.
The sad fact of the matter is that these supporters of Illegal Immigration not only break the laws of this country but do so at tremendous cost to American citizens. The cost is both monetary and physical.
Our prisons are filled with rapists, drug dealers, drunk drivers and violent gang members who were readily allowed to perpetrate their crimes on innocent Americans even in the cases after authorities knew of their existence. They have been protected by local politicians who have provided them sanctuary and given them special perks such as in state tuition despite a federal law that penalizes them for discriminating in this manner. Federal officials have been avoiding their duty as well to the extent that the person directing the Department of Homeland Security actually lobbied in their favor!
Worse, ignorant politicians such as Dick Durbin have been seeking ways to absolve the States of their penalties that resulted from giving special treatment to one class of people in a discriminatory move that excludes American citizens (clue, Illinois is one such state that offers Illegals in-state tuition, a move that violates federal law).
Unfortunately Congress needs another kick in the ass. They have stood on the sidelines while innocent Americans pay the price for their malfeasance. It’s time to require them to do their duty and get tough on Illegal Immigrants who commit crime. If they won’t do it then we will find leaders who will.
