Update II: Another new title in light of today’s British Terror Plot that has been twarted. Homeland Security is a thankless job and American’s need to understand who and what we are up against. I would argue that politically correct labels simply help foster fear due to the unknown elements that keep people guessing and wondering who to watch out for.

I would like to send a message to all Republicans who have decided that political correctness is a path to voter allegiance. It is time to rethink your stance on border security, political correctness and the way you are going to secure the future of this country. Get a Clue

I’ll be damned if I am going to vote for one single politician whose stance on security takes a back seat to political correctness, high paid lobbyists or some politically expedient focus poll.

Michael Chertoff appears to be one of those people as reported by Investors Business Daily. (h/t Michelle Malkin).

Sensitivity toward Muslims is so raw that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff this week felt compelled to express disappointment that the FBI put out an alert for 11 Egyptian students who failed to show up at Montana State University. They entered the country on visas, then vanished. Chertoff said not to worry, just a bunch of kids cutting class. No threat here.

I want names. I want to know who these people are that are chafed so raw. Is it people such as the CAIR leadership, ACCESS, Hezbollah or Hamas? Please tell me because they all have links to terrorism somewhere along the line. Or perhaps it is people on the left such as Bill Keller, Howard Dean, Dick Durbin, Cindy Sheehan or Ned Lamont. Please tell us who is so sensitive. We need to know because it is a matter of life and death.

Try this sensitivity on for size. Stop issuing visas to citizens who fit the profile of terrorists. If that means all Muslims then so be it. I could cair less. When has the Muslim community been sensitive enough to remove the radicals from their back yard?

We are constantly reminded that a majority of Muslims are not the ones that incite terror. It is a small minority of radicals that is giving them all a bad name.

Unfortunately that is the wrong way to look at the situation. We need to suspect all Muslims that fit the profile because terrorists are predominately Muslim!

A person with common sense might expect that the billions of peace loving Muslims, a majority mind you, would rise up to stop the radical Islamofascism that has hijacked their religion. They are a majority after all. Yet they are silent. What kind of message does that send?

Spare me the sensitivity. Our leaders need to be more sensitive toward preserving America and less concerned with hurting the feelings of the majority of Muslims who sit idly by while their bretheren threaten world peace.

Take note, I am a hard working conservative American who is looking for leaders who will build a safer country for the children of this nation and the many generations to follow. Get the hell out of the way if you are not prepared to be that kind of leader. We get enough of that from the Democrats.

I look across the political spectrum and I see Joe Lieberman as one of the few who is willing to fight for what he believes in. I don’t even agree with him 90% of the time but I respect a man who stands on principle. He put his career on the line for that principle. That is courage.

We need leaders who are willing to stand up for America.

So I offer you Michael Chertoff. Admit that his kind of thinking is a mistake. I will not be the first to tell you that I am disappointed in hearing about our sensitive war on terror.

Update: This article was originally titled “Perhaps Michael Chertoff Needs to Take a Long Vacation“. I have since renamed it to reflect my frustration at the spineless political leadership of those running this country. American’s need less coddling and more direct talk from those who have been selected to protect this country.

Michigan did not become a major hub for terrorists by mistake. They were helped by politicians in Congress and even the White House who donated millions of our tax dollars to groups such as the Michigan based Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS). This group is well known for its anti-Semitic and its anti-American hate speech as we reported here and most particularly in Dearbornistan….The Enemy From Within.
