Proof that you can’t take your eyes off slick Barry for even one minute, it appears that the Obama campaign intentionally disabled security checks on their web site that would prevent fraudulent donations.

It is so bad that even foreign credit cards are accepted, which explains why the Obama campaign has been able to solicit so much public funding that virtually goes unchecked; thus allowing jihadists to contribute to their favorite terrorist friendly candidate in the upcoming U.S. elections.

Patrick Ruffini provides expert context as the former webmaster for President Bush’s 2004 run:

I just contributed $5 to Barack Obama.

I didn’t want to. Ideally, I could have contributed $0.01 and cost them money. But it was the only way to confirm the root cause of the fraudulent micro-donations to the Obama campaign (“Doodad Pro” for $17,300 and “Good Will” for $11,000).

The Obama campaign has turned its security settings for accepting online contributions down to the bare minimum — possibly to juice the numbers, and turning a blind eye towards the potential for fraud not just against the FEC, but against unsuspecting victims of credit card fraud.

The issue centers around the Address Verification Service (or AVS) that credit card processors use to sniff out phony transactions. I was able to contribute money using an address other than the one on file with my bank account (I used an address I control, just not the one on my account), showing that the Obama campaign deliberately disabled AVS for its online donors.

John McCain on the other hand uses AVS to prevent fraud. Character versus corruption.

So here we have a corrupt lying Democrat in Barack Obama that is working with ACORN to steal your vote and funding his lying attack ads on John McCain and Sarah Palin using money that most likely comes from foreign nationals.

The mainstream media for its part is working to explain it away, just as they did with terrorist friends Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, radical racist preacher Reverend Jeremiah AmeriKKKA Wright, genocidal cousin Raile Odinga, ACORN, Tony Rezko, the garden to nowhere, the missing birth certificate, the adviser that met secretly with Hamas terrorists, the sequestered records from Columbia, the America hating wife, the New Socialist Party membership, communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis, the ties to and contributions from Freddie Mac and Fannie May, the meet and greet with Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson, the sad record of no accomplishment, Annenberg and CAC, and his support for infanticide, JUST TO NAME A FEW!!!

Here is the New York Times “analysis”:

But a New York Times analysis of campaign finance records looking for obvious anomalies in donor information quickly found more than a dozen contributors to Mr. Obama using obviously fictitious name. This was a tiny fraction of Mr. Obama’s donor pool, but it appeared from the analysis that Mr. McCain had far fewer apparent fake names among his donors.

So now you know, “NYT analysis” is code for “a bunch of leftist assholes covering for Barack Obama”. No wonder the NYT company is approaching junk status.

We’ve previously noted the gusher of illegal campaign contributions flowing into the Obama campaign from contributors such as “Doodad Pro” and “Good Will.” More recently, incidents have been reported in which people have seen credit card charges surface suggesting they donated to Barack Obama when they did not. Matthew Mosk and Sarah Cohen noted one such incident earlier this week:

Now comes the story of Mary T. Biskup, of Manchester, Missouri. Biskup got a call recently from the Obama campaign, which was trying to figure out why she donated $174,800 to the campaign — well over the contribution limit of $2,300.

The answer she gave them was simple. “That’s an error.”

Is the Obama campaign knowingly receiving illegal contributions?

Update: Just across from the RNC:

The Republican National Committee (RNC) today filed a supplement to its complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against the Obama for America campaign addressing its acceptance of foreign national and excessive contributions, donations from unknown sources, and demonstrated lack of oversight or concern for compliance with the law. The complaint demonstrates that the Obama campaign has failed to comply with federal campaign finance law in its fundraising. RNC Chief Counsel Sean Cairncross released the following statement today concerning the supplement to the complaint:

“Based on numerous press accounts that have come to light since our initial filing in early October, it is clear that the Obama for America campaign is operating outside of the law. The complete and total lack of any control mechanisms within the Obama campaign’s fundraising operation has undermined any confidence in their ability to curtail excessive, foreign, and fraudulent contributions and demands immediate attention from the Federal Election Commission (FEC).”

I have a credit card issued by a bank in Hong Kong.

I’ve just made 5 donations of $5 each using the card. I listed fake addresses in North Korea, Iran, Gaza, Venezuela and Kenya. The names and addresses were made up, each was different, I listed real Yahoo email addresses that forward to me.

Apparently, the AVS security precautions have not been re-enabled at the Obama website, and fake-name donations are still being accepted. But please, stop giving the guys more cash.

As to the argument that all these fake names are checked “offline”, the donation below from “Della Ware” has already been withdrawn from her account.

So, just to clarify, the AVS security checks most merchant processors use to screen out fraudulent transactions (and, incidentally, overseas customers) were intentionally disabled by the Obama campaign - and thus their web donation page enables fraudulent (and/or foreign) donations. The McCain campaign retains the AVS system used by other online retailers and thus rejects fake names and fake addresses. Advantage: Obama!

This election is being stolen right out from under our feet. Barack Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party are no different than Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. The most sacred part of being American is the ability to vote and live freely. These guys are as corrupt as the day is long. They belong in jail as opposed to being in power.
