Original Investigator Misconstrued Evidence – Palin Vindicated
Anchorage lawyer Timothy Petumenos was hired as an independent counsel by the Alaska Personnel board to re-investigate claims by her political opponents that she abused her power when she fired her public safety commissioner. The first investigation found that Palin violated no laws and was well within her right to dismiss the state employee yet the investigator spun it in a way to make it appear that Palin did abuse her position as governor.
Palin and her supporters claimed that the investigation was a politically motivated move by opponents that resisted her reform efforts; something that any sane person would think would be applauded by watchdogs in the media. Instead MSM hacks used the politically motivated investigation to attack Sarah Palin. But now
Petumenos found that state prosecutor Steve Branchflower used the wrong state law as the basis for his conclusions and also misconstrued the evidence.
In particular he found the following:
The report, released at a Monday afternoon press conference at the Hotel Captain Cook, presents the findings and recommendations of Anchorage lawyer Timothy Petumenos, hired as independent counsel for the Personnel Board to examine several complaints against Palin.
Petumenos wrote the Legislature’s special counsel, former state prosecutor Steve Branchflower, used the wrong state law as the basis for his conclusions and also misconstrued the evidence.
His findings and recommendations include:
- There is no cause to believe Palin violated the state ethics law in deciding to dismiss Monegan as public safety commissioner.
- There is no cause to believe Palin violated the state ethics law in connection with Wooten.
- There is no cause to believe any other state official violated the ethics act.
- There’s no basis to conduct a hearing to “address reputational harm,” as requested by Monegan.
- The state needs to address the issue of using private e-mails for government work and to examine how records are kept in the governor’s office. Palin used her Yahoo e-mail account for state business until it was hacked.
Still waiting for the media to offer their mea culpa’s.

That’s good, now she can go back home and continue to be governor of Alaska with her new 68% approval rating after her and Mccain lose.
Yeah, because we all know that the country would be better with a terrorist loving anti-Semitic Marxist in combination with a Democrat lead congress that hovers around 18% (lower than Bush). Pathetic.
Hey Terry,
That ignorant talk is exactly why Mccain is losing. Can’t control his mouth or his sidekick Palin’s either.
You easily get brainwashed. If any of what you said is true, that means America is also terrorist loving and anti-Semitic Marxists, because they are voting him in right? That means the America you love is no more right? You don’t want to live anymore then right.
You might want to move if you really believe that. If you stay that means you agree………..Oh no, what will Terry do?
Nothing that’s what.
Terry: I have a legitimate concern after reading all the Obama supporters’ comments for the last several months and it has to do with most of the male Obama lemmings. Are men like us going to be prohibited from standing up to pee once Obama and company are in charge? Is this the beginning of the end for stand up urinals? If there is a revolution they’ll be the ones hiding under the bed. They’re like a bunch of wimpering little girls. Are they afraid to make it on their own or do they need Obama to take care of them? I have read one, I repeat ONE Obama supporter that argued rationally and didn’t turn into a whining little girl when they were confronted with logical arguments. That’s why they don’t like Sarah Palin. She’s got more balls than them or their candidate, more political courage than all of them put together and it makes them feel like they did in fifth grade when they first had to get into the shower after gym.
Hi Dave,
Agreed. To think that some people are offended not that their guy launched his career at the house of American terrorists but by the mention of the fact.
That’s fine though. Even if Obama wins the left will remain unhinged and people like you and I will be there to call them on it.
Good luck at the polls!
Interesting . . . the investigator over whom Palin had no power or authority found her guilty. The investigator whom she could fire, and whose career she could ruin, at any time found her not guilty. Yep, justice and truth has been served with no possibility of bias. You betcha.
