The New York Times tries to prove to Jews that Obama is a good guy when it comes to Israel. That may be, both the Times’ and Obama’s evasions about his friendship with and support from people hostile to Israel simply cannot be overlooked. The Times even throws in a statement that the ADL has no problem with Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor. That’s peculiar, because even Richard Cohen, a liberal Jewish columnist at the I has a problem with Wright and Wright’s adulation for Farrakhan, noted anti-Christian, anti-White and antisemite. Cristy Li has a nice rundown of why it really doesn’t matter that Wright hasn’t been caught saying something blatant such as “all Jews are evil and should die.” His record speaks loudly on the subject, both in his role as an individual and as head of a church. (And that, by the way, is a nice liberal prevarication, which is the effort to distinguish Wright from his church, a church that is clearly an extension of himself.)
