More Beheadings Courtesy of You Know Who

It seems that members of the Religion of Peace can’t help themselves when it comes to torturing and desecrating the bodies of their foes. Amidst the contextual backdrop of the torture at abu Ghraib, stunted recreational activities at Gitmo or the more mundane torture of non-Islamic societies that have the audacity to live life in a non-Islamic way we are treated with another lesson in what really constitutes torture and crimes against humanity.
Islamic militants in the southern Philippines have killed 14 marines, beheading 10 of them, a military spokesman has said.
So sorry to break it to the rest of the left, but the militants in the Philippines didn’t behead these soldiers because the United States is at war with terrorists in Iraq or because of the other popular notion that it is all the fault of the jews. Nope, they did this in the name of Islam. This is your basic “we want an Islamic state” in a nutshell type of violence. The problem for Islamic separatists in the Philippines is that they live in a predominately Christian nation. Can’t have that.
Of course beheadings are only one part of the arsenal these terrorists (aka. militants) use in waging their holy jihad in the name of Islam. They also use kidnapping as a prime method of terrorist style blackmail. Everyone is on the list of targets, men, women children, tourists, priests, government officials, you know, the standard infidel type. Kidnappings alone don’t get the best headlines so they usually resort to various other methods such beheadings, bombings and assassinations.
Even though morons like Rosie O’Donnell like to point the finger at the threat from fundamentalist Christians I can’t help but strain myself thinking of examples where there is such a relative equivalence. In fact I can’t think of the last time I read a headline about Christians beheading anyone.
Nonetheless, I’m sure we can ignore this latest incident as an isolated example of bumper sticker style terrorism. The kind Democrats talk about but never really seem too concerned about. Besides, it’s probably our fault anyway. It’s not like the Philippine Islamists have been waging this battle since the 14th century.
Oh wait. That’s exactly what it is. My bad, was I not supposed to say that?
Most people can sleep better at night knowing it was just a “clash”. Sort of a misunderstanding.
Marine spokesman Lt Col Ariel Caculitan said the marines ran into a group of some 300 armed men during their search for him, triggering the clash.
The militants who cop to the incident claim they didn’t have anything to do with the beheadings.
A spokesman for the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) later confirmed that some its members had been involved in the clash, despite the fact the MILF is currently engaged in peace talks with the government.
Mohagher Iqbal, the chief negotiator for the MILF, said the marines had attacked one of the group’s strongholds, violating a ceasefire agreement, and that his forces had therefore fought back.
“The incident could have been avoided if the government had co-ordinated with our forces in Basilan before they actually moved in,” he told reporters.
But he denied that the MILF was responsible for the beheadings, or that it was involved in the kidnapping of the priest.
Regardless of which militant group cut these soldiers heads off we can safely deduce that it was a crime committed in the name of Islam. How long are people going to accept this type of violence as just another misunderstanding between culturally distant walks of life?
The silence and quiet acceptance by those in the moderate Muslim community is one indication that this probably will not be solved from within. Yet newspapers like the Boston Globe downplay the threat of radical Islam as if each incident is a relatively rare occurrence that happens without the influence of Islamic elders. (h/t Wizbang)

I’m not threatened by the idiots that write at the Boston Globe or anywhere else so I do not advocate that the government regulate them with some sort of Fairness Doctrine. But one wonders why anyone would pay to read articles by reporters who are so overwhelmingly stupid that they don’t understand the basic concept that extremism is being taught to these young people. They are not self starters you f-ing moron.
For now all we can do is add this latest incident to the growing list of worldwide terror at the hands of radical Islamists. Eventually the rest of the world will wake up and we will no longer have to tip toe around these facts like they do at you know who.
