Afghanistan:
The Taliban has claimed that they have killed Korean hostage number 2 because the Afghan government has not released their terrorist buddies from prison.
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A purported Taliban spokesman claimed the hardline militia killed a second South Korean hostage Monday because the Afghan government failed to release imprisoned insurgents. Afghan officials said they hadn’t recovered a body and couldn’t confirm the claim.
The Al-Jazeera television network, meanwhile, showed footage that it said was seven female hostages in Afghanistan.
Militant spokesman Qari Yousef Ahmadi said senior Taliban leaders decided to kill the male captive because the government had not met Taliban demands to trade prisoners for the Christian volunteers, who were in their 12th day of captivity.
Who in their right mind would believe that the release of more Taliban terrorists would stop their barbaric behavior?
Pakistan:
Here we go again, pro-Taliban terrorists have seized another Mosque.
PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Pro-Taliban fighters seized an Islamic shrine in restive northwestern Pakistan and renamed it after the Red Mosque, where dozens of militants died this month in a showdown with government forces in the capital, officials said Monday.
The attack drove home the lack of government control in the tribal region, where a local government official said authorities were trying to negotiate the militants’ peaceful departure from the shrine.
I especially love the MSM’s description; “Pro-Taliban fighters” and “militants”. How about we call them what they are, terrorists.
Palestine:
Russia says that Abbas is the true leader of Palestine.
MOSCOW - Russia considers President Mahmoud Abbas the legitimate leader of the Palestinian people, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday in Moscow’s strongest statement backing Abbas since Hamas militants seized the Gaza Strip last month.
“We firmly support you as the lawful leader of the entire Palestinian people,” Lavrov told Abbas, who arrived Sunday in Moscow seeking Russian support in the conflict with Hamas. “And we support your efforts aimed at restoring law, achieving unity among the Palestinian people and continuing the process to seek a resolution to the situation in the Palestinian territories.”
Well, that’s all the world needed to hear, Russia says that Abbas is the leader and that’s that. Did someone tell Hamas that they need to pack their bags and go?
