Middle Eastern Men on a Plane Praying – Should We Be Worried"

hateforreal.jpgThere was breaking news flying around the internet regarding a half dozen middle eastern men being pulled off a plane at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport. Basically, if you have not read about it, a passenger became nervous when six middle eastern men began to pray; the passenger alerted the flight attendant of suspicious behavior via a written note. Consequently the men were removed for questioning.

According to Hot Air, CAIR plans on filing a formal complaint against “law enforcement’s inexplicable suspicions about a group of men onboard a commercial flight rising out of their seats in tandem and praying to Allah.” I would also like to add that CAIR has strong ties to the terrorist organization Hamas. They are not exactly a stand up lobbyist group with innocent wants and needs. It is actually quite alarming. You can read more about that here and here.

My opinion on this, too bad, too sad. Live with it. If we have to live with the threat of some nut job blowing themselves up on a plane or putting it into the side of a building then they are going to live with the threat of being pulled off the plane, or any place else where this might be applicable. It has been well documented that terrorists have a tendency to break out into “Allahu akbar” — “Allah is great. All praise to Him” just before they perpetrate these heinous crimes. It is not law enforcement’s fault that this is the case, and I swear I’m going to be so mad if we buckle.

I suggest that Muslims deter their fellow religious men from committing such acts if they are truly concerned about getting singled out on a bad rap. Perhaps they should even leave prayer out of public places. The reality of it is that a person can not ascertain if a Muslim who breaks out into prayer is innocent or the person is going to off themselves along with every one else that is around them.

We have gotten into a very bad habit of playing a game of “politically correct” when our sensibilities tell us otherwise. To tell you the truth, I was quite relieved to see another person who is not showing Frenchtendencies of complacency and political correctness. We can see and read where that has gotten France and other places in Europe; it is called nowhere. By all means, sound the alarm, because during this time, we need alarms and people who are not going to be afraid of sounding them.

Are we ignorant of Islam and the their normal evening prayer routine? Is this what we are suppose to accept on our future flights?

  2. [...] For me, this is a no-brainer. Terrorists will do whatever they can to find weaknesses within our security system so naturally they are doing dry runs. This is ridiculous, especially since we have all been aware of the dry run scenarios for quite some time. (See here and here) [...]
