Just when I thought I had seen it all, this story reported by the BBC: “Mexico’s ‘Migrant Mountain’”

What is “Migrant Mountain“? It is a Mexican theme park that allows “tourists” (yeah, right), to go and experience what it is like to be an illegal immigrant trying to circumvent America’s laws and sneak into the country. That’s right, for $19.50 you can spend the night and try to elude the mock border patrol agents.

One spin to the story is that Mexico and the participants claim that “it is our way of paying homage to those who seek a better life in America.” Really? I disagree, I think it their way of getting training in the art of crossing borders illegally.

“Amnesty International has criticized the whole thing as trivializing the lives of real migrants.” I think Amnesty International should criticize it for being what it is, a guide to breaking the laws of the United States by showing people ways to “hide” and “elude” border patrol agents for real.

This is so ridiculous. The Mexican government has done everything it can to help people come to America illegally; this includes drug lords and human traffickers.

Back in 2000, Border Patrol claimed that Mexican Troops had chased and shot at them in an that incident resulted in U.S. Border patrol agents apprehending a vehicle “armed with seven automatic assault rifles, one submachine gun, and two .45 caliber pistols” That is a lot of fire power. WND wrote that, Mexico allowed their troops to do this because “According to American law enforcement and intelligence officials, local Mexican drug lords have put a price tag as high as $200,000 on each U.S. law enforcement agent killed.” That is a pretty hefty price on our law enforcements heads.

Mexico has also distributed a “comic-book style guide”, titled “Guía del Migrante Mexicano” or in English, “Guide for the Mexican Migrant“. It is a how-to guide on “breaching the border safely and evading detection once across.”

Think of all the criminals/terrorists that will be going to “Migrant Mountain” for training. Perhaps they are handing out “Guía del Migrante Mexicano” at the entrance.

This infuriates me on so many levels. Our government needs to step up and allow border patrol agents to heavily crack down on illegal immigration. This has gone past the point where we have a few illegals coming over for a “better life”. We have all sorts of riffraff coming over the border. Terrorists and drug lords are just one facet of the problem. Compound that with criminals making deals with the Mexican government by placing bounties on the heads of our FIRST RESPONDERS and we have a problem that is magnitudes worse than a simple immigration issue. The next thing smuggled over the border could be a suitcase nuke. Yet, the citizens of this country keep the their heads buried in the sand. Americans need to get angry. We need to stand up and demand that our government do what it is supposed to do. Stop pandering to business interests and the Mexican government, protect our country and protect our borders, period.

Today I make a plea to my fellow Americans, stand up for what it is right. Pull your money out of banks that aid and abet illegals, write your politicians and demand they do what is necessary. It will only happen if we stand up. That is why we have such a great country, we have always stood up. It is time that we let our politicians know that they won’t be in office very long unless they enforce our laws and protect our people.
