McCain’s house of cards has been rapidly falling over the last few weeks, but todays news that his presidential campaign co-Chairman has been charged with soliciting sex (actually offering to perform oral sex for $20.00) on a male undercover police officer.
… a Florida House of Representatives member was arrested yesterday and charged with soliciting a male undercover police officer.
Bob Allen is also John McCain’s presidential campaign co-Chairman and was charged with second degree misdemeanor after falling into a sting operation to root out sex predators in Florida.
The news was met with grim horror on the State’s House Agriculture & Environment Appropriations Committee, Environmental Regulation Committee, State Infrastructure Council and the Utilities & Telecommunications Committee where Allen has been serving.

This is bad, really bad. Gay, sex, money, police, arrest … not good for McCain’s campaign. Does it strike anyone that $20.00 sounds cheap??? I wouldn’t know about these things, heh.
Webloggin Editor Update:
The Orlando Sentinel picked the story up on July 11th but did not reveal the relationship beetween Allen and the McCain campaign. It was not until the story was picked up a day latter by a local television station that the relationship was reported from what I can tell.
TITUSVILLE - State Rep. Bob Allen was arrested Wednesday afternoon at a local park after offering to perform a sex act on an undercover officer in exchange for $20, police said.
Allen, R-Merritt Island, was booked into the Brevard County jail in Sharpes on a charge of solicitation to commit prostitution, a second-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in the county jail and a $500 fine.
He was released a few hours later after posting $500 bail, according to a jail spokesman. The legislator, who was first elected in 2000, could not be reached for comment late Wednesday.
Titusville police were at Veteran’s Memorial Park on East Broad Street on a burglary detail when they noticed an unshaven man acting suspicious, going in and out of the restroom three times, said Lt. Todd Hutchinson.
An undercover officer decided to go into one of the bathroom stalls, Hutchinson said. Moments later, Allen knocked on the stall door and offered to perform oral sex on the officer for $20, according to the police spokesman.
The officer identified himself and took Allen into custody. Hutchinson said the officers had no idea the suspect was a state lawmaker.
“After he was arrested, he (Allen) mentioned he was a state legislator,” he said.
I agree with Debbie: This is bad, really bad.
