Hypocrisy Alert - Mexico Deports Stranded Illegal Immigrants

It appears that Mexican officials only tolerate illegal immigrants in their country as long as Mexico is a temporary stop on the way to the United States. If they happen to get stranded on the way however, whoosh, back they go.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants have been deported from Mexico after they became stranded when a train route through the country was closed down.

Up to 7,000 people - mostly from Guatemala and Honduras - got stuck in southern Mexico when a rail link to the US ceased operating. (src BBC News)

The BBC also prints news that many of us already know and many others simply ignore; a good number of illegal immigrants entering the United States from the southern border are not of Mexican origin. Mexico is just a gracious stop for those who need a place to rest before completing the targeted mission of breaking into the United States illegally.

Central American immigrants are known to cross Mexico’s southern border illegally on their way to the US, often riding on train roofs or stowing away in carriages.

But now that train route is closed and Mexico no longer has a need for them. So back they go. No wonder Mexican politicians are so worked up about the tightening of the U.S. border. Not only does it restrict illegal business opportunities like drugs and human trafficking but it also forces them to deal with their own illegal immigrant problem with one less option on the table.

I don’t know why anyone would be surprised by Mexico’s actions. They have a different set of rules than the ones they want us to use. Just like the rest of the world. Like the Saudis, no christian anything allowed in their country. How much screaming do you think there would be if we told them they can’t have the Koran or any of the bad fashions?
