I was bummed yesterday when I couldn’t get to the Jerusalem Post online yesterday. I tried in vein for hours and simply gave up. Now I’m bummed that I did get through because of the latest report on the activation of Hezbollah sleep cells.

Hizbullah “sleeper” terror cells set up outside Lebanon with Iranian assistance have been put on standby The Jerusalem Post learned on Sunday, and are likely planning attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets throughout the world.

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) confirmed to the Post Sunday night that it had instructed embassies, consulates and Jewish institutions it was responsible for abroad to raise their level of awareness in light of the conflict in the North.

The assumption within Military Intelligence is that Hizbullah would only attack targets abroad if it felt pushed into a corner. According to this thinking, the Islamist group hesitates to carry out such attacks because it does not want to be associated with Global Jihad and al-Qaida.

There are a couple of problems that I see here. First, despite the Chomsky’s of the world who feel that the jury is still out on “probable” Iranian assistance the evidence to the contrary is enumerable. Those who fail to make the connection are many of the same people who think 9-11 was a U.S. lead conspiracy.

Thus we have a problem with people properly associating the all the players in this war.

Second, while Hezbollah supposedly does not want to be associated with Global Jihad and al-Qaeda they have gone to the trouble of setting up sleeper cells throughout the world. Thus they are a global terrorist group. It doesn’t hurt to be specific here as Diana West said in the Washington Times (h/t Michelle Malkin).

This is yet another case of murdering Islamo-terrorists who are threatening the world with violence. Regardless of the root cause, which is of their own doing, terrorists commit their crimes through violent acts and the threat of such against innocent people; men, women and children.

These subhuman terrorists have to be stopped at all costs. It’s time to beat back the "can’t we all just get along" crowd. We can’t. The only option is we win, they lose.
