There was a bit of a row at last weeks Chile Summit prompting Spanish King Juan Carlos to lean forward and ask the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez “Por que no te callas?” or “Why don’t you shut up?”
It all started when Hugo Chavez called former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar a “fascist” and repeatedly kept interrupting the Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero; it was at this point where the Spanish King leaned forward to ask Chavez the famous question.
The now infamous question, which is now available for your cell ringtone, has generated approximately 2.2 million dollars in sales; as many Spaniards and Venezuelans are downloading it. But the profits don’t stop there, the phrase is also on mugs and T-Shirts.
One Venezuelan student who was sporting the T-shirt was quoted saying, “The king said what Venezuelans have wanted to say to Chavez’s face for a long time”.
I love it when dictators are put in their place and even better than that when people profit off of it! OLE!
