GOP Grows a Pair

Like most of you, for years I have been frustrated because it seemed that Republicans had been visited by a scalpel-wielding Jesse Jackson who had performed the surgery on them that he had in mind for Barack Hussein Obama. Consistently, they were a bunch of mealy-mouthed, linguini-spined wusses, trying to suck up to liberals in the media and unwilling to say the expletive for excrement if they had a mouth full of it. So imagine my delight when I saw McCain’s Paris Hilton-Britney Spears ad, delight that was multiplied more than the miracle of loaves and fishes that He Who Walks on Water might perform the next time he has a celebrity rally that attracts a couple hundred thousand of his emotionally-driven followers when I saw the reaction of the idiotic harpies on ABC’s “The View,” Keith “I caught my head in the subway door” Olbermann, and other fellow travelers. “Subliminal racism,” “beneath Senator McCain, who looks desperate,” and similar drivel won’t conceal their terror that everyone will figure out what they’ve known from day one: the man-god is an empty suit.
They are desperately trying to conceal the obvious: this ad isn’t about Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, or even Obama. It’s about the fact that his candidacy is a cult of the personality, devoid of substance. The ad mocks his air-headed supporters, many of whom would have a better chance identifying Paris or Britney than naming their own Congressional representatives.
As for himself, BHO did the two-step yet again: this time by trying to play the race card to keep the white guilt gusher he’s been surfing pumped up until he can ride it into the White House–or as his pal, Ludracris calls it the “Black House”–then denying it when he’s called on it. After he said on Wednesday:
“Nobody really thinks that Bush or McCain have a real answer for the challenges we face,” so what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he’s not patriotic enough. He’s got a funny name. You know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He’s risky.”
He and and his campaign expect us to believe that he wasn’t referring to his race? In fairness to Obama, it’s true that until they put Alfred E. Newman on the dollar bill, he doesn’t look like the guys whose visages grace our currency, but c’mon, Dude. How stupid do you really think we are? In any case, regardless of those three repetitions of the above-referenced quote, YOU were the one who first inject race into the election. Remember this, Senator?
Or
And let’s not forget who it was who referred to his grandmother as a “typical white person,” making many of us wonder what he meant by that. She was the only breadwinner in his family, but far be it from me to think that’s what he meant. Tell us please, Messiah. Inquiring minds want to know. Just what IS a typical white person?
His response to this ad was a very telling one, straight out of the liberal playbook. Regular readers and listeners to my erstwhile radio program know about my three stages of argument with a liberal. For you newbies, they are:
Mocking Laughter
The man-god demonstrated this one perfectly here, leaving it to his campaign apparatchiks to execute Stage 2.
Feigned Moral Outrage
As in “how dare anyone call the Oprah candidate a celebrity! Especially after he quotes Bono during a political rally to a bunch of screeching Eurotrash!”
Namecalling
The BHO campaign likes to claim they are the victim of “smears,” which we can correctly define as the red herrings they hope the voters will focus on so they’ll be distracted from the reality about the socialist utopia BHO has planned for us. For all their distaste for it. some of HWWOW’s supporters are pretty good at the name calling thing, though.
I don’t know who it was who got the McCain campaign to take its collective skirt off and show some spine, but he or she deserves a big raise.
