Gary Sinise with Craig Ferguson - Even More Hollywood Types Who Get It

I happened to catch Gary Sinise on the Craig Ferguson Late Late Show last night and I have to say that I admire the guy. He has always been one of those Hollywood types who supports the troops.

In addition to playing at USO bases around the world he has traveled many times to Iraq and Afghanistan. He discusses troop morale (high) with Craig Ferguson and explains how terrorists tried to take advantage of the NATO transition in Afghanistan. He also pointed out that coalition forces are made up of many nations; something that Hollywood types who are big on blabber and low on intellect don’t appear to get.

Here is the video segment from last night:

Gary Sinise is a true patriot and so is Craig Ferguson.

If you haven’t had a chance to catch the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson then you are missing the best late night talk show out there. He is hilarious; funniest guy on TV. I also like his take on politics. I am not sure if he is left or right of center but he is fair; something that is sadly lacking in Hollywood. His parodies of President Bush are pretty funny as well. You should check him out. BTW - you will notice that Ferguson’s audience gets it as well as they applaud Sinise for his support of the troops. Very refreshing!

Update: I just saw that Newsbusters ran an article on Craig Ferguson. It is more proof that he is simply a great guy with an open mind. The type that is often too hard to find in Hollywood.

Instead of opening with his usual monologue of jokes, Craig Ferguson, an immigrant from Scotland, began Monday night’s Late Late Show on CBS with a tribute to America, a refreshing attitude not often heard these days in the mainstream media. “I consider myself an American,” he declared on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, adding: “I’ve been here for a long time. I love this country.” Ferguson contended: “Anyone who cares about anything, when these rat bastards flew those planes into those buildings, if you’re a human, it would insult everything inside you.” Ferguson suggested “this is a defining moment for our generation. For one generation, it was the assassination of Kennedy, for another it’s 9/11. It’s ‘Where were you on September the 11th?’
