All they had done was delay it. They didn't kill it. This sad travesty of a bill isn't dead yet. All that has happened in the Senate is a delay. The Democrats couldn't obtain cloture to stop debate and push the "bipartisan" bill forward. It's not dead, at least not yet. It's not dead until a vote for passage defeats it.
