DNC Replaces Images of Canadian Soldier with U.S. Flag
(and it’s not burning!)
There has been a lot of fun made of the whole DNC US military families site that featured a Canadian soldier. Unfortunately much emphasis was put on the alterations made to the image of the Canadian soldier. It appears that the Canadian emblem was removed from soldiers cap; this is true. But the removal was innocent as the photographer who loaded it up onto IStockPhoto removed the insignia out of fear of copyright violation. This image alteration was not a blatant act by the DNC.
I say unfortunate because the emphasis should be on the fact that the DNC can’t even seem to get their supposed support of our U.S. military correct. It is my personal belief that the Democrat party has not backed up the rhetoric of supporting the troops with actions. They have cravenly used any and all opportunity to point out military failures and well publicized crimes; some of which occurred and many of which did not.
A party that truly supports the troops would not have gone out of their way to ignore many success stories in the war against terror in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Worse however is the blatant hypocrisy by the party leaders and the base that actually downplayed success such as the killing of al-Zarqawi.
The Democrat party has been the opposition party ever since they gave the President the authority to prosecute the war. Their hope was that they could paint the President as a failure in that mission. Their actions never seemed geared toward helping that mission, ever; from interrogation tactics in Guantanamo to defending our American men and women in the military with the simple premise granted lesser Americans who are assumed innocent until proven guilty.
Dick Durbin, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha often lead the cries of guilt against our soldiers before any trial had begun. Our soldiers have been compared to the most ruthless and sickest of war criminals throughout history. This is why the DNC site is important.
Any party that truly wanted to honor our troops would have put the time and effort into the site rather than send some intern off to grab a royalty free photo from the most excellent IStockPhoto. It’s not like they couldn’t find some image of US Soldiers. They just didn’t for any number of reasons. (and no I don’t know for sure that an intern grabbed the image, I am using hyperbole to make a point)

Sure looks like that flag has been burned. Trust the Dems to pick one that looks like it might have been burned…
Can’t The DNC Find A Soldier’s Picture Or What?…
Finally the DNC altered their website to remove the picture of the Canadian soldier mistakenly being passed off as an American soldier. However for some unknown reason they were unable and/or unwilling to use an American soldier’s photo. It’s not…
