Please. The only conflict is in the minds of morons that are either too stupid (as in the mainstream media) or too prone to let activism cloud their puny minds so much so that they don’t care to look at the facts behind the back door effort to expand government health care to people that are very much able to afford it themselves. Certain lies that are being perpetuated on the American public.

- Several states will spend upwards of 44% of their S-CHIP grants on adults
- In in all but three states a family’s assets are not considered at all in determining eligibility for SCHIP.
- 670,000 adults are covered by Schip. Eleven states cover some parents, and six states cover either pregnant adults or some adults with no children.
These 3 facts alone demonstrate how much Democrats and their accomplices in the mainstream media are lying to you. Why does anyone trust this trash to inform them about anything? Oh yes, the poor poor kids. Thankfully the voting public is smart enough to see through this ruse. The bill that passed today is not veto proof.
WASHINGTON - In a deepening conflict with the White House, Democrats pushed a revised children’s health bill through the House on Thursday but lacked the votes to overcome a threatened second straight veto by President Bush.
The vote was 265-142 on a bill so politically charged that one Republican bluntly accused Democrats of timing the events to dovetail with attack ads planned by organizations supporting the legislation.
“They won’t take yes for an answer,” retorted Rep. Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, as Democrats vehemently denied the charge. He said the legislation included changes demanded by GOP critics of the earlier vetoed bill, including one to prevent illegal immigrants from gaining benefits.
The measure now goes to the Senate.

The Democrats are up to their old dirty tricks again. This time they are trying to take advantage of the California Fires by scheduling a vote while many Republican lawmakers are away dealing with the fires for their constituents and families.
These inept politicians have resorted to the slimiest of tactics because they are incapable of pulling the wool over Americans eyes. Everybody knows that the Democrat initiative is an attempt to further expand a program that President Bush already proposed expanding. The difference is that Democrats want to put their hands deeper into your paycheck and expand the program to people that don’t need it financially.

As a result, Nancy Pelosi is going to bring the SCHIP bill back for a vote today, banking that with these absences she can get the bill passed.

Michelle Malkin is live blogging the debate. She notes that Democrats are all using the “it’s for the children” ruse. How many times have we heard that one?
1:00pm Eastern 10/25 update. Let me sum up Nancy Pelosi’s S-CHIP statement. The March of Dimes supports the S-CHIP expansion. HOW CAN YOU OPPOSE THE MARCH OF DIMES?!?!?!
Pelosi: “I hope our colleagues will be thinking about the children…This legislation makes good economic sense and good national security sense.”
Democrats are desperate to pass anything and do anything to take the nations eye off the war in Iraq because of recent progress and to diver attention from the fact that Democrats have endangered the lives of our soldiers and threatened to stall progress by alienating our allies to the North with the stupid and ill timed Armenian genocide resolution. What a bunch of dopes. Sadly people voted these inept people into office.

I have written to all of the reps here in FL and have not received one answer. I will do it all again. I have no idea what part of the word no they are not understanding. I do know the bill is second to what they want, they want the money from the over 1000 earmarks they have attached to the bill. I don’t have to total earmarks for the their Dream Act right now but I will and will post it to. More pocket money for them. The defense bill has over 1400 hundred earmarks attached to it when it comes up again. These pathetic excuses for humans and caring about children is a bunch of crap. They just want their dirty money, Period. I think a lot of them can see the writing on the walls and are trying to get as much as they can before the final bell rings.
I also don’t know why the I.G. is wondering where the 1.2 billon that was paid to Dyncorp went. Just ask John Murtha, Dyncorp is one of his pet projects. Murtha has his fingers in every defense company used. I think that is also why he is trying to distance himself from Pelosi, thinking he can save his sorry rear if he does.
I think it’s dump time in the next elections and start over.
