Democrats Lead By Nancy Pelosi Run Scared from Energy Debate

House Republicans orchestrated an on the floor protest today after Democrats running the circus adjourned the house, killed the microphones and shut out the lights while Republicans were still on the floor talking gas prices.
Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and other GOP leaders opposed the motion to adjourn the House, arguing that Pelosi’s refusal to schedule a vote allowing offshore drilling is hurting the American economy. They have refused to leave the floor after the adjournment motion passed at 11:23 a.m., and they are busy bashing Pelosi and her fellow Democrats for leaving town for the August recess.
How nice. Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat losers in Congress that sit idly by while American’s suffer the Congressionally manufactured oil crisis will be heading off to the Hamptons and other elite vacation spots for the next month. They couldn’t wait to cut and run on you, me and every working family; the party is starting! And yes, our dependence on foreign oil is a crisis of incompetence. One that could have been prevented if the political class in this country didn’t stand in the way of innovation in combination with domestic oil as a bridge to change.
Compound those facts with the very real fact that Democrats once again have positioned themselves to actually require American suffering as a vice for votes and you have a scene like today. Democrats rushing to usher out Capital Hill guests, shut down the lights, silence the microphones, fade the cameras and pack their bags before the American public puts 2 + 2 together. The only problem is that Americans do get it. They understand just how abysmally bad Nancy Pelosi is. With Congressional job approval ratings hovering somewhere between 15% and 23% Nancy Pelosi will go down in history as the face of ignorant malfeasance.
The protest ended at 5:00 p.m. today.
Right at the stroke of 5, Georgia Rep. Tom Price announced that House Republicans were stopping their impromptu protest on the floor of the chamber, ending a five-plus-hour mock rebellion with a round of “God Bless America.”
The assembled tourists, aides and members in the chamber gave Price and his compatriots a standing ovation. They left the chamber to shouts of “USA! USA! USA!”
Meanwhile the GOP leadership vows to remain in town during the 5 week vacation.
