Video: Immigration Update - Dems Block Reading of Amendments Before Vote

I had opportunity to listen to the Senate “debate” on proposed amendments to the latest incantation of the Immigration Reform Bill and it is apparent that supporters of the Bill don’t even want their fellow Senators to read the last minute changes before voting on the amendments.
Today’s Senate agenda is to debate and vote on the 20 some amendments that are bundled into a package called the “clay pigeon” amendment.
This package comprises nearly 400 pages of text and was delivered to individual Senators last evening. One indication of the deceitful conduct of the Senate is that the amendment was actually delivered and posted to special interest group websites before U.S. Senators even got a chance to look it through despite the limited amount of time they would have in the first place.
Are you hearing this? U.S. Senators are being shut out at every opportunity by supporters of the bill yet special interest groups continue to be given special treatment. The members of the Senate are essentially being asked to vote on the amendments that will affect this nation for decades without even reading the changes.
Worse however is that more changes are still yet to come. You would think that Senators would need to read those changes before voting on them in the interest of the American public; Senator Diane Feinstein and Harry Reid however think otherwise.
Senators Jim DeMint, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter continue to champion for the Conservative Party base.
Within the debate Senator Ried keeps pushing the fallacy that $4.4 Billion dollars will fix the border. That is a bald faced lie. Money alone doesn’t fix anything. Look at every product that comes out of the United States government such as education, Social Security, Health Care, etc. Has an unprecedented amount of taxation and money fixed any of that? No. It’s not about the money, it’s about the intent. The craters of this bill clearly intended to pull a fast one since its inception.
Senator Reid is also touting the Dream act, an act that gives perks to illegal immigrants not afforded to Americans such as in state tuition. In fact it forgives every state of their federally mandated penalties for ignoring existing law and giving such perks to a targeted group such as ILLEGALS without offering it to every legal citizen in the country as well.
These elected Senators are selling out the American public for votes, special interests and their own deceitful enrichment and power. Make your voice heard, get informed and help stop this travesty.
