Dem Debate Sticks to Script - Cordial, Identity Politics, BDS and Even a Staged Hug

I got stuck in a Midwest snowstorm last night and my normal 2ish hour commute took almost 6 fracking hours! In that time I caught Michael Medved practically campaigning for John McCain, NPR radio pushing the troop suicide screed, and Michael Savage telling me that the Democrats would get together before the debate and agree to staged a friendly non-confrontational lovefest for the sheeple. Savage of course was spot on.
I was fortunately able to catch the Democratic debate on CNN radio and it definitely made the trip more unbearable. I didn’t have to see Hillary Clinton’s face the see her stretched face behind the cackle. (transcript here)
According to the transcript the Bush name was mentioned 26 times. But that pales in comparison to “Health Care” which was mentioned 48 times only to be eclipsed by the word “health” that was mentioned 69 times in the 2 hour love fest. They also managed to mention Kennedy 10 times, immigration 17, change 22 times, Iraq 28 times and insurance 25 times.
Democrats are insidious, yes, as are most career politicians; most of whom who have lost their way by the time they get put on center stage by the Democrat power brokers. But if the American people buy this garbage they get what they deserve.
A word on health care. One of the reasons the 1992 Clinton Health Care package failed was because Americans didn’t want socialized health care. They wanted affordable health care but not at the expense of gutting a system that most recognized is the best in the world. The Clintons didn’t care as they went out of their way to secretly craft one anyway. This eventually led to its demise. That and a plethora of strategic blunders, the first one being putting Hillary Clinton in charge. It is notable that the Clintons failed on all fronts. Even Senator Robert Byrd blocked the plan calling it a “prostitution of the process”. When the plan was finally officially outed as a socialized mandate it was too late. The Clinton’s scrapped it and have been trying to rewrite the failure ever since to deflect blame.
Hillary Clinton knows this, as do all the Democrats who have come up with the warm and fuzzy moniker, “Universal Health Care“, which should be clue number 1 that the Democrats are up to their old tricks. The media is on board, never once mentioning the debacle of socialized health care in Great Britain or Canada. In that sense it is a conspiracy, once rooted in ignorance, blinders, Bush Derangement Syndrome or simply the belief that YOU ARE STUPID and won’t be smart enough to ask the tough questions. I don’t know, something like, “how is your plan going to be different than Canada’s or Great Britain’s, which as you know is having tremendous issues with keeping doctors, providing follow up care and offering the same quality of service provided in the United States?”
Wouldn’t you think that would be a common sense question considering that all Americans will be putting their health on the line for the Democrat nanny state approvals?
You do? So do I.
So why do you think that the Wolf Blitzers, the Politico’s, the Chris Matthews’ and all the other left leaning cheerleaders in the press haven’t asked such a key question? I thought their job was to inform campaign.
I’d also like to know who advised Barack Obama to tone down the challenges to Hillary Clinton? This doesn’t seem like a good strategy. He loses if he just sits up there are splices away the negligible policy differences he has with Hillary Clinton. Every time he gives her an in she comes back to chip away at his momentum. He should be challenging her record, he should catch her off guard, get her angry and expose her like he has a few times before. Otherwise he’s done. Good for me because I think she is one person and not very likable at that. Barack Obama however can be rolled out as a movement. That would be very hard to beat.
At the end of the debate I hear they hugged. Yuck. Another staged moment for the people that Michael Savage calls sheeple. I’m sure they ate it up.
