“Crescent of Embrace” or Just Crap?

On July 28th the announcement for the final approval for the “Crescent of Embrace” will be announced.
For those who are not aware, the “Crescent of Embrace” is a mihrab or the Muslim half moon that that points towards Mecca. It is being touted as a memorial for those who gave their lives aboard Flight 93 on 9/11. Flight 93 was the hijacked plane that the passengers overtook to avoid its real target, the United States Capital.
According to Michelle Malkin, the architect of this atrocity is Paul Murdoch, here is what he had to say:
“This is not about any religion per se,” Murdoch said in a telephone interview with the Tribune-Democrat in Johnstown. “It’s a spiritual space, and a sacred place, but it’s open to anyone.”
The word “crescent,” he said, was used as a generic architectural term for a curved line.
“Sure, there is an Islamic crescent,” Murdoch said. “Theirs is a lunar crescent. Ours isn’t based on that.”
What a disgrace to the memories of the heroes of Flight 93. Out of all the symbols that could have been picked to honor the memories of these brave people Murdoch picks a crescent. I find this to be a slap in the faces of not only those who are to be “honored”, but also to the American people.
