Tony Snow will announce today that he has accepted the job as White House Press Secretary according to the Washington Post and many others. This is good news and bad news. I will surely miss Tony’s daily radio show as well as his weekly Friday morning appearances on Don Wade and Roma (WLS-AM).

However, Tony Snow is perfect for the job. He is a great communicator and has an excellent sense of humor; the latter of which will be needed often when dealing with the White House press corps.

As expected, the loonies over at the Daily Kos are already starting to rant. HoundDog has posted a typical Kos stream of consciousness that cherry picks various Tony Snow criticism of President Bush over Tony’s last 5 years as a columnist and talk show host.

And remember, Tony Snow is a pro-Bush conservative. Some of these quotes will be great to use in upcoming elections. We should all thank Tony Snow and Think Progress for putting them together for us.

The Daily Losers are too stupid to catch the obvious as they criticize Tony for being a biased conservative in one breath while pointing out Tony’s criticism of President Bush in another.

• Nobody that would work for George Bush at this point is likely to have much in the credibility dep’t. This jackass, Snow is pretty hollow it looks.

• He’s conservative, he’s full of shit, but he is not a moron. I don’t think he is mentally capable of repeating the same line over and over when he knows it’s an absolute lie like a McClellan or a Fleisher could.
• Gregory was hosting “Hardball” today and he said something about how he didn’t think hiring Snow would be a good idea. Should be interesting to see these two go head to head in the briefing room.
• The corporate media will not call out one of their own. Snow is fine - he continue his role as a propaganda mouthpiece and the press scribes will dutifully report what he says as fact.
  Most likely, the press corps will feel “honored” that Bush picked one of their own to be the White House bitch, and will treat Snow with the utmost care and respect.
• I have a feeling he’ll pander to the wingnut base and be really insulting in the o’reilly or hannity mode. The freepers’ll eat that right up.
• with Snow, it’ll be the same lies, new voice.
• Tony Snow as Press Secretary will be one more in the continuing string of disasters for the Bush Administration. Snow habitually distorts the truth too much to avoid quickly losing whatever credibility he arrives with.

Good luck Tony. The radical left is pretty much a lost cause. Perhaps a man of your formidable skills can move some of the less dysfunctional ones over toward the light! While you are at it, please tell GW to shut down those borders!!! Thanks man.
