Commander Hillary McBragg Clinton Tries to Spin Bosnia Lie as Simple Mistake

Hillary Clinton, the New York Senator who recently resurrected her lead role as Commander McBragg when exaggerating the harrowing conditions of her 1996 Bosnia trip, is now saying she simply misspoke.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign said she “misspoke” last week when saying she had landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia as first lady in March 1996. She later characterized the episode as a “misstatement” and a “minor blip.”
The Obama campaign suggested the statement was a deliberate exaggeration by Clinton, who often cites the goodwill trip with her daughter and several celebrities as an example of her foreign policy experience.
During a speech last Monday on Iraq, she said of the Bosnia trip: “I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
According to an Associated Press story at the time, Clinton was placed under no extraordinary risks on the trip. And one of her companions, comedian Sinbad, told The Washington Post he has no recollection either of the threat or reality of gunfire.
I hate to agree with Senator Obama here but he is right. Senator Clinton’s new version of her Bosnia trip was no simple exaggeration, misstatement or minor blip. It was quite clearly a lie from a person who has no problem lying to the American people as long as she can get away with it.
The problem for Mrs. Clinton is that she is not the only choice Democrats have. Thus there is no reason for the press to cover for her. They can choose shell #2.
Hillary Clinton has a habit of such misspeaks. Just as early as 2 months ago the media was replaying the Hillary Clinton rescuer story as they dredged up the tale of NY banker Jeff Volk that was supposedly saved from a harrowing Katrina experience in New Orleans. The only problem was that the story evolved over time until Volk eventually showed up in a Clinton campaign commercial as proof positive that the cartoonish Senator was a super hero.
This most recent episode is more proof that Senator Clinton has to lie, exaggerate and basically spin yarns in an effort to convince the American people that she is someone whom she is not. Sorry Commander McBragg, not buying it.

She didn’t make a “misstatement”, she flat out lied about nearly every single detail of the trip.
Hi,
Welcome to Webloggin!
It’s amazing how this has spun out of control on Clinton. Limbaugh dragged out two other incidents where she made the same claim.
The difference between this time and those other times was that she was the heir apparent and the media was in the bag for her. Now that they have a new favorite she finds herself under the same microscope that is usually reserved for Republicans. LOL
