Columnist Molly Ivins Has Died

I thought Molly Ivins was a great writer — when she wrote about Texas. Texas is a wonderful state, and a rich source for political humor no matter your political stripe. Even when I was a card-carrying Democrat, though, I thought her general political columns tried a bit too hard. Nevertheless, while she stuck to a political position I can no longer support, she was a witty, well-informed writer, and it’s sad that her political voice is gone from the scene.
