CNN Interview - Nick Berg’s Father Criticizes U.S. for Death of Zarqawi, Accuses U.S. of Atrocities (Audio)

Berg Update II: It Seems that Berg completed a world wide tour yesterday. I heard him on Medved where the Green party candidate repeated more of the same. Aparrently Mr. Berg had answered enough questions when he hung up on Fox’s John Gibson as captured by Expose the Left. Sister Toldjah caught more moonbat antics over on Air America courtesy of Randi Rhoads and Jerry Springer (who else?). Stop the ACLU has noted that the Democrats are Calling the Zarqawi Killing A Stunt in the Washington Times!

Michelle Malkin and Brian Malony are doing a roundup which I expect will continue through tomorrow.

Berg Update : Second CNN Clip - Impeach Bush - CNN just can’t get enough of Michael Berg. They just abruptly cut away from a live interview with him but not until after they got their golden quote: “as far as the suffering of other families, I think we can prevent the suffering of far more families if we would just impeach George Bush today and end this war today“. - Listen Here: CNN Berg Interview #2 - speaker.gif

You can listen to the earlier CNN Interview Here: CNN Berg Interview #1 - speaker.gif

Who do these reporters think they are kidding? They know full and well that Mr. Berg has been criticizing the President every chance he could get this morning.

You don’t have to question the motives behind these people when they repeatedly give the Cindy Sheehan of the day a podium; especially when it is a multiple drive by such as the Michael Berg statements this morning. Berg is practically on a whirlwind tour. The press corps on the left is more than happy to writhe and report with glee every time someone calls for the impeachment of President Bush.

The MSM Media is showing their tru colors today as they concentrate on the negative “more sober news”. CNN is currently doing a litany of leader who say that “this is not the end”. Duh. Idiots.

Leave it to the Mainstream Media to Peel Away the Silver Lining from the News of an American Victory

Al-Zarqawi is widely known as being responsible for the beheading of Nicolas Berg. Since that time we have heard many statements from his father Michael as he blamed the United States for his son’s death as well as terrorism throughout the world.

CNN is very much aware of Mr. Berg’s views so I am not surprised that they jumped on the chance to get him on the air to criticize the Bush administration IMHO.

CNN Host Soledad O’Brien stated surprise when Berg went on an anti-Bush rant although she has interviewed him before. I am not quite sure what would lead her to surprise.

CNN has been playing the “this invigorates the insurgency in Iraq” card all morning. O’Brien did state that there is an alternative view that the Iraqi’s “will in fact be inspired by the death of al-Zarqawi” (update - Berg made the statement that Iraqi’s will not be inspired).

I must ask where the CNN’s of the world would be if they couldn’t find a negative spin to put on American victories?

speaker.gifI have the full audio portion of the interview here. Here are highlights of the statements made on the air by Michael Berg about 10 minutes ago in reaction to Zarqawi’s death.

  • Zarqawi’s death will reignite the war for revenge.
  • He equated American’s with terrorists.
  • Mr. Berg blamed the United States for 9-11. We essentially brought it upon ourselves in retaliation for the Gulf war in 1991.
  • Americans are committing atrocities in Iraq
  • There is no democracy in Iraq. People holding the elections are doing so at gunpoint.
  • Saddam Hussein is no worse than George Bush
  • Saddam Hussein brought Stability to Iraq
  • George Bush is responsible for 50,000 deaths per year in Iraq compared to Hussein’s 30,000 deaths per year

I feel sorry for Mr. Berg’s loss but the timing of the interview by CNN is quite out of place at a time when they should be celebrating the death of these murdering terrorists.

UPDATE NewsBusters shows how the CNN interview with anti-war activist Michael Berg is no fluke.

See CNN Editor: ‘Many’ Terror Groups in Iraq More Powerful Than Zarqawi’s Al Qaeda

Nasr:

“Experts we talk to all the time tell us to be very careful with the way we describe Al Qaeda in Iraq. They say they are the ones that get the most attention, especially from the U.S. media, the western media, but tell us there are many small insurgency groups in Iraq that are more powerful than Al Qaeda, the Zarqawi group. They tell us that there is a resistance in Iaq that is a bit different from the terror groups like Zarqawi’s group. So percentage wise, I don’t think anyone can put a number on that. But definitely the experts tell us that this is not a lone group in Iraq. There are many thousands more like it.”

Concluded Nasr:

Some people say it will enrage the insurgency, others say it will hurt it pretty bad. But if you think about the different groups in Iraq, you have to think that Zarqawi’s death is not going to be a big deal for them.

[...] Dr Sanity notes that for some in the blogosphere no good news is ever really good because America, Bush and the soldiers suck, and stuff. John Stephenson notes that the father of Nicholas Berg is unhappy, and reminds that Berg was prospecting commercial work at the time of his horrible death. 4. [...] I have no words for the utter nonsense I’ve been reading on the internets today about Zarqawi from places like Kos, the DUh, the Huffington Post, all of ‘em. This morning I hoped Michael Berg (video here) would just be the odd nutball, like Motherf*cker Sheehan, but noooooo. People who I (stupidly) had hoped might actually “get” the fact that Zarqawi’s death IS A GOOD THING, sorely disappointed me. I’m not even talking about those above, I’m talking about elected leaders, and some who consider themselves “moderate” Democrats–including some of the few liberals on my blogroll. Y’know, that says a hell of a lot about the (il)liberal mindset. You just CAN’T see the good in anything, can you? It’s never enough. It’s always, “yeah, but…” no matter what the news says. “Great, but dammit, Bush will get a bump in the polls.” What the fuck is wrong with people who think like this? Those people who act this way just proved that they really have NO ideology except that of “hate Bush” and “America the oppressor.” And why? Because their guy LOST. Their guy, who represents nothing but “hate the right” and the goddamned UN mentality. And then they have the chutzpah to whiiiiiine about how some of us DARE to question their patriotism–well, tough. “Patriotism” isn’t saying “I love my country so much I want to fix it.” That’s called “I love the country that could be,” not what we have. That’s called idealism. Or more to the point, fantasy. As I see it, stupidity, ignorance, and a goddamn mental disorder. If you ask me, Ann Coulter is too gentle in her treatment of these fuckups, because after this latest display of left-wing insanity, I’d say a lot worse. So now you have these would-be mental patients saying “I question the timing,” and that Zarqawi was just some freedom fighter, or a nobody. We’ve got these idiots saying “but what about all the people Booooosh killed!?!!” Oh yeah? What about all the people George Washington killed? Abraham Lincoln? Teddy Roosevelt? Woodrow Wilson? FDR? LBJ, Nixon, Bush ‘41, Clinton, etc. etc…? Beam me up Scotty, I can’t deal with this mass insanity, or the idiotic, evil, cynical, self-centered, fantasy-based LIES that these people push. It’s an ideology based on psychosis. Fuck them. As far as I’m concerned, the only difference between people who think like this and the terrorists like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is that these leftard jackasses haven’t chopped off any heads (I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt). Like terrorists, the ends justify the means, and the inconvenient truth never gets in their way. And also like terrorists, their outrageous rhetoric of lies makes them even less of a legitimate existence in America. Bush won’t say it (and may not believe it), but I will: the left IS unpatriotic, America-hating, mentally ill, and sympathetic if not supportive of the enemy–they ARE the enemy of America. They’d like nothing better than to see America be “cut down to size,” so we’d be equals with Eurabia (which they doubtless consider a step up, for us) or better yet, the third world–because we deserve it. Well, I say: Speak for yourselves. If America is so wrong, and Americans are such arrogant oppressors, start a movement. All of you losers can live like people in the third world (preferably IN the third world) so you can ease your guilt at being American. Why not? Who the hell do you think started Liberia? AMERICANS. Go on, get to it, Chicken-Liberians! Start your own shitty country! So while the Chicken-liberians mope about the fact that Zarqawi’s death IS a victorious, joyous event for not just America, but even more for the Iraqi people, I’ll be enjoying it. To hell with the angry leftard chicken-liberians and the angry Islamists. Allah’s enjoying it too. (YouTube link here.) I’m not linking to any more of the unhinged crap. You can find the links through at Michelle Malkin’s–or in a complete nutcase moonbat roundup, at Dr. Sanity’s–just follow the links. I can’t look at any more of it myself; it makes me ill. [...]

Those who cannot understand Nicholas Berg’s father have no understanding of communism. These people have no concern at all even for their own children. Everything is for the cause. They would kill their own children if ordered to do so for the cause. Their cause has made them inhumane. That’s why it becomes possiblke for a mother to insult the memory of a heroic son killed in action or for a father to mouirn his son’s killer. Communism destroys normal human instinct for the good of the cause, in this case anti-Americanism and anti-Zionism.

    A Gift from al-Zarqawi…

It probably wasn’t really a gift from the sociopath al-Zarqawi. Maybe it was a gift from Yahweh/ Jehovah allowing a little pleasure on the part of those who suffered so dreadfully at the hands of the petty criminal who grew up to fashion himself into….
