CNN Ignores Bernardine Dohrn’s Terrorist Past While Defending Obama

The mainstream media is going through another one of their meltdown moments as they rush to defend Barack Obama from his relationship with American terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. (plural)

John Stephenson of Newsbusters detailed CNN’s supposed fact check that came in response to a speech that Sarah Palin gave. In that speech Palin did the job the mainstream media refuses to do by mentioning the words terrorists, relationships and Barack Obama in a single sentence while referring to the former Weather Underground leaders.

In rushing to Barack Obama’s defense CNN slipped the following into the end of their fact check:

The McCain campaign did not respond Saturday to a request for elaboration on Palin’s use of the plural “terrorists.”

Well excuse me, but why should they? If CNN doesn’t know that Bernardine Dohrn was a leader of the Weather Underground while they were bombing federal buildings and police stations why should the McCain campaign give CNN the legitimacy of a real news organization by providing a response?

It may not matter to CNN that Bernardine Dohrn traveled to Cuba to meet with the North Vietnamese government in 1969 while Barack Obama’s opponent was being held captive in a prisoner of war camp but it certainly is a point of interest that should not be covered up and downplayed by those that wish to sweep these facts under the covers out of allegiance to Barack Obama.

The question about “plural terrorists” itself is folly and wholly misleading. Barack Obama launched his political career at the home of not one, but two unrepentant American terrorists.

Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Bernardine Dohrn also worked at the same law firm according to sources. Of course there is the possibility that they may not have been palling around at the time but it is indisputable that their paths crossed repeatedly.

There is much more about the Dohrn story that goes relatively unnoticed. According to the Canada Free Press she has made frequent guest appearances at events sponsored by George Soros.

She stated in 1982 that “Those of us who participated in the [Vietnam] anti-war movement were not drastic enough” even though Americans died as a result of their bombings.

Both Ayers and Dohrn waged war on the U.S. government. They not only live in the same neighborhood as the Obama’s but actually welcomed Barack Obama into their home where he was introduced as an up and comer on the political scene.

CNN may attempt to rewrite history but they can not change these facts. That CNN or any other news organization has decided that the American people have heard all they need to hear about the connections between William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and two people that may sit in the White House shaping policy and forging new relationships throughout the world is a verdict in and of itself.

Update: To see how these “fact checks” make the rounds by people in the mainstream media that are in the bag for Barack Obama see how the Dallas News linked it up with the claims: false. These people are liars and propagandists. All of a sudden Obama’s meeting at the Ayers house is being described as a “coffee”.

Their paths have crossed sporadically since then, at a coffee Mr. Ayers hosted for Mr. Obama’s first run for office…

Here is how that “coffee” was described by the Politico when the story about the meeting originally broke:

Many details of the 1995 meeting are shrouded by time and by Obama’s and Ayers’ refusals to discuss it.

The exact date is not known, but it was in the second half of 1995, before Palmer’s decision — late in her losing congressional primary against Jesse Jackson Jr. — to jump back into the special election for her state Senate seat. (Her decision produced a rift between her and Obama, who was able to get her thrown off the ballot on technical grounds.)

“That’s too long ago — that’s ancient history,” Palmer said, when asked of the meeting.

Dr. Young and another guest, Maria Warren, described it similarly: as an introduction to Hyde Park liberals of the handpicked successor to Palmer, a well-regarded figure on the left.

“When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the living room of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn,” Warren wrote on her blog in 2005. “They were launching him — introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread.”

Contacted by e-mail, Warren declined to describe the meeting further and later blogged of her concern that Republicans would use accounts of the event for “left-baiting.”

Young described the gathering as a matter of “due diligence” for Palmer to introduce her chosen successor to constituents. “Many of us knew him already,” he said.

All of this news came to light after Obama said in a debate;

This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who’s a professor of English in Chicago, who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He’s not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.

The press has been doing damage control ever since.

So ask yourself, as an American citizen in a free country that is looking for the best source of information to cast your vote, why should you read their garbage in the first place.? Liars and propagandists can’t be trusted.
