I wonder when and if the legacy of the potential first spouse Bill Clinton will ever come back to haunt the increasingly reflective image of Hillary Clinton. It’s bad enough that Hillary goes down to Selma to campaign with an offensive and fake black southern drawl, or that her campaign fund raising activities with a fugitive on the lam are reminiscent of hubby Bill’s 1996 Chinagate scandal, or that she is pandering to the underprivileged by offering tax payer funded pay offs in exchange for that coveted vote, or…
You get the point. Hillary and Bill are often one and the same. Thus Bill Clinton’s legacy should haunt Hillary Clinton; especially when the legacy is still evolving with current scandals and judicial appointees that find inventive ways to impose their ideological leanings on the American public.
The LA Times notes today that fugitive fundraiser Norman Hsu was found to be in possession of an autographed Bill Clinton saxaphone. Not much of scandal as much of a reminder of the close ties between the Clintons and a fundraiser with ties to China, an outstanding warrant for fleeing the law and a criminal fund raiser that was convicted of stealing, alleged to have further set up a ponzi scheme that bilked many people of their life savings and violating federal campaign laws by reimbursing people for political donations made to democrats.
Disgraced Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu had a well-known affection for fine living and all things Clinton. And his collector’s taste and eye were on display Wednesday, when federal authorities unsealed documents showing they had seized more than 180 bottles of pricey wine from Hsu’s New York apartment, as well as a saxophone believed to have been autographed by President Clinton.
[~snip]
Until recently, Hsu, 56, traveled in glittering circles as one of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most prolific supporters, raising more than $1.2 million for the New York Democrat and other Democratic candidates in the last three years.
In August, however, The Times revealed he was a fugitive, wanted in connection with a 1991 theft case. Since then, federal prosecutors have accused the Hong Kong native of masterminding a $60-million Ponzi scheme and breaking election laws by reimbursing associates for political donations made in their names.
Hsu also has been sued by investors in Southern California and New York who say he defrauded them and, in some cases, pressured them to make campaign contributions.
Hsu is being held without bail in San Mateo County jail, where he is likely finding the beverages below his usual standards, judging by his wine collection.
As if that isn’t enough of a legacy problem we read yet again that a Clinton judicial appointee has blocked the Bush administration from enforcing immigration laws.
A federal judge in San Francisco ordered an indefinite delay yesterday of a central measure of the Bush administration’s new strategy to curb illegal immigration.
The judge, Charles R. Breyer of the Northern District of California, said the government had failed to follow proper procedures for issuing a new rule that would have forced employers to fire workers if their Social Security numbers could not be verified within three months. - NY Times
Here is the backwards reasoning of Clinton like groupthink.
The case also called attention to the gulf between Washington rhetoric about the need to curtail illegal immigration and the economic reality that many U.S. employers rely on illegal labor, as well as to the government’s inability for nearly three decades to develop adequate tools for identifying undocumented workers.
In a 22-page ruling, Breyer said the plaintiffs — an unusual coalition that included the AFL-CIO, the American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — had raised serious questions about the legality of the administration’s plan to mail Social Security “no-match” letters to 140,000 U.S. employers.
“There can be no doubt that the effects of the rule’s implementation will be severe,” Breyer wrote, resulting in “irreparable harm to innocent workers and employers.”
Huh? Let’s see here. Illegal immigration has the verified effect of causing the loss of life for many American’s as well as illegals that are ushered into this country through human trafficking channels. Rapes, murders, drunk driver and gang based violence are just some of the examples of the irreparable harm caused by open border advocates and those that give illegals sanctuary. This doesn’t even touch on the staggering cost on the U.S. economy and society caused by our need to jail, house, medicate and educate people that do not belong in this country. Let’s not forget the filling of school yards with drugs and bullets.
Yet this ass who was appointed by the Clinton administration has the audacity to cite the effects that employee identification will have on the economy as if that is law? Think about that the next time Hillary Clinton comes to town with her forked tongue, hand in your pockets and effected accent. This is a legacy that hasn’t even begun to see its final chapter.
