Clinton Does Not Like The Inconvenient Truth

The Path to 9/11 - An ABC Miniseries

The Path to 9/11 - An ABC Miniseries

Former President Bill Clinton is very upset with ABC because of a show they are planning to air next week. The mini-series, The Path To 9/11, is a story that shows all the events that led up to the attacks of 9/11. Of course, the eight years of Bill Clinton and his den of thieves is a central part of the movie. The mini series is four hours long and includes the oft reported incidents that have Clinton and his administration officials preventing the capture of Osama bin Laden.

There was a screening of this movie and some liberals went bonkers. Bill Clinton is reportedly going to call Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, and ask that this be edited or re-shot to change the way Clinton and his administration are portrayed. If this movie airs and there are no scenes of Sandy Berger refusing to allow our folks to take out or capture OBL then you will know Clinton was successful. Rush Limbaugh has a long piece about this because he is friends with the person who produced the movie. Here is one of the scenes that Clinton and his toadies will not like so if you do not see this you will know that Clinton and his mafioso was able to whitewash history:

Let me just give you, as I say, I haven’t been able to watch the whole thing. It’s four hours, and I had a chance to watch a little bit of it flying home last night from New York. There is an amazing scene, a sequence, actually. It shows the CIA and the Afghanistan Northern Alliance surrounding bin Laden’s house in Afghanistan. They are on the verge — this is during the Clinton administration. This is long before 9/11, which is the point of the mini-series: “How did we get there?” So the CIA, the Northern Alliance, surrounding a house where bin Laden is in Afghanistan, they’re on the verge of capturing, but they need final approval from the Clinton administration in order to proceed.

So they phoned Washington. They phoned the White House. Clinton and his senior staff refused to give authorization for the capture of bin Laden because they’re afraid of political fallout if the mission should go wrong, and if civilians were harmed. Sandy Burglar essentially tells the CIA team in Afghanistan, if they want to capture bin Laden, they’re going to have to do it themselves without any official authorization. In that way their necks would be on the line, not his and not Clintons[sic]. Now, the CIA agent in this is portrayed as being astonished. “Are you kidding?” He asked Berger over and over, “Is this really what you guys want?”

Read the rest at Rushlimbaugh.com. It is amazing. Clinton wrote My Life to rewrite the history of his crime filled presidency. There have been many things done to change the real history of the Clinton administration since he left office. It would appear as if this time, the long arm of the Clintonistas will not be able to change things but there is still time so we will have to wait and see.

I hope all the liberals who think George Bush is responsible for 9/11 and that Democrats are so great on national security will watch this in its uncut, unaltered, un-Clinton influenced, state and then see what really took place during their hero’s time in office. Clinton provided the environment where terrorists blossomed and became emboldened to attack us. 9/11 was the culmination of the failures of his time in office.

UPDATE: The show will air on 10 and 11 September on ABC (according to the article at Rush’s site)

Webloggin Update:

It appears that ABC Execs met and are planning to make minor tweaks to some scenes. Hugh Hewitt reports:

The Disney execs met all through the weekend - unheard of in this business - debating what changes would be made and what concessions should be given. Here is what looks to be the conclusion:

- There will be a handful of tweaks made to a few scenes.
- They are minor, and nuance in most cases - a line lift here, a tweak to the edit there.
- There are 900 screeners out there. When this airs this weekend, there will be a number of people who will spend their free evenings looking for these changes and will be hard pressed to identify them. They are that minor.
- The average viewer would not be able to tell the difference between the two versions.
- The message of the Clinton Admin failures remains fully intact.

The story here is the backlash that the Disney/ABC execs experienced was completely unexpected and is what caused them to question themselves and make these changes at all. Had this been the Bush Admin pressuring, they wouldn’t have even taken the call. The execs and studio bosses are dyed in the wool liberals and huge supporters of Clinton and the Democratic Party in general. They had no idea any of this could happen. As I understand this, the lawyers and production team spent literally months corroborating every story point down to the sentence. The fact that they were the attacked and vilified by their “own team” took them completely by surprise; this is the first time they’ve been labeled right-wing, conservative conspiracists.

The scramble caused by this backlash was so all consuming that the execs spent their holiday weekend behind closed door meetings and revamped their ad campaign. But at the end of their mad scramble, they found only a handful of changes they could make and still be true to the events. The changes are done only to appease the Clinton team - to be able to say they made changes. But the blame on the Clinton team is in the DNA of the project and could not be eradicated without pulling the entire show. A $40 million investment on the part of ABC is enough to stem even Bill Clinton’s influence.

An exclamation point on this event is the fact that Oliver Stone will endorse the project this week. Not known for his conservative leanings, he loves the project. Perhaps this and the fact that the production company that made Al Gore’s movie, “An Inconvenient Truth” are endorsing it would underline just how far out or touch and scared the Clinton Admin is about the revelation of the facts as portrayed in this project. Is it just that Clinton is continuing to re-define his legacy? Or is it his fears for this election cycle and 2008? Or both?

Thanks for getting the word out. It’s made a significant difference in getting this broadcasted as it should be.
