Censuring of the President

There was a proposal in the House last week that got very little attention. The Democrats proposed to cut the budget of the National Security Surveillance Program (NSA) by 20% until a multitude of disclosures were made about the program. The proposal was defeated in the House.
This is how the Democrats treat our National Security… tell the whole world about our secrets which may have saved an untold amount of lives and render the program ineffective.
This program is the basis of the Feingold’s Resolution to Censure the president in the Senate which is only a prelude to impeachment. I find it very sad that the left’s quest for power has degenerated to such gutter politics by dividing this country at a time of crises when the solution is so simple. Bring the whole issue before the courts for a ruling on whether the President acted illegally or not.
The Democrats will not do this because they know they will lose the issue. In case you missed it here is testimony from five former FISA court justices upholding the President’s actions.
FISA judges say Bush within law
A panel of former Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judges yesterday told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee that President Bush did not act illegally when he created by executive order a wiretapping program conducted by the National Security Agency (NSA).
