Proud to be an American

We have so much to be proud of in America. We have done more good in the world, by our actions and by our example, that any other nation in history. We judge ourselves harshly, but only because we set a higher standard for ourselves than any nation ever has. We make excuses for everyone else, but never for ourselves.

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon

The soldier smiled and introduced his family to the man, told him he was on leave from Iraq and told him how those simple words meant a lot more than he knew to him. They parted ways and went about their business and the man in the email said he felt warm all over. A couple weeks later the man received his morning paper, and was crushed when he saw the man picture in the paper as a local man who was killed by an IED.

The Backbone of America

The Republic salutes all of the building blocks of our country, each of which improves the structural integrity that is America. Jozef Slowik was as important as any. Rest in peace with our Heavenly Father sir, you were a good an faithful servant.
