Does anyone really care what Joe Biden, D-Del, thinks? Apparently Biden called Barack Obama, D-IL, a “clean” African-American. So we are still light years behind the race issue and like it or not ones “race” as ones “religion” keeps cropping up.

Biden said to the New York Observer, about Obama, a rival for the nomination: “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

However, what I find more offensive than this is the attack on how conservatives reacted to Biden’s remark - rather than at Biden for what he said:

Immediately the conservative media establishment — Rush Limbaugh, the Drudge Report, bloggers — publicly pounced. At Townhall.com, Mary Katherine Ham wrote: “A clean black man? The first black guy on the American political scene who can both shower regularly and speak properly? Is that really what Biden thinks? If a Republican had said this, we’d have a national outpouring of grief over the residual ignorance and racial insensitivity in our country, and the guy would be in sensitivity training until around about the time John Kerry is elected president.”

Now had this been a Republican senator referring to Obama in this manner all hell would be breaking loose. Obama himself said that he does not pay much attention to what is said during a campaign season. SO since the MSM cannot get a rise out of Obama they instead attack conservatives.

As usual the Democrats and MSM seem to thoroughly enjoy calling the kettle “black”.
