Abbas Calls Hamas "Murderous Terrorists"

This is rich, absolutely rich. The man who is part of Fatah, calls Hamas “murderous terrorists”.
RAMALLAH, West Bank – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas harshly criticized the Islamic Hamas on Wednesday for taking over Gaza last week, saying its members were “murderous terrorists” who tried to assassinate him recently.
In an uncharacteristically fiery televised speech, Abbas said Hamas replaced the “national project” with “its project of darkness,” attacking the symbols of government in Gaza, including the house of the late PLO leader Yasser Arafat.
“There is no dialogue with those murderous terrorists,” Abbas said, accusing them of attempting a coup. It was Abbas’ toughest speech since he fired the Hamas-led Cabinet and replaced it with his own team of Fatah supporters and experts over the weekend.
“No dialogue”? Why is it a surprise to Abbas that Hamas has no interest in dialogue? The short answer is that it can’t be. Abbas knows exactly how Hamas works especially since his own political party, Fatah, supports the likes of The al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, which is known for targeting civilians. It is also important to note that Fatah means “conquer”.
What a twist that a man who has supported terrorist thugs all along is now calling terrorist thugs “murderous terrorists”. It makes me wonder why.
Perhaps Abbas has had a change of heart, realizing that the same people that he attended dinners with will turn on you in a second and when they turn you may just lose your head, literally and slowly.
The article continues:
Abbas accused Hamas of trying to assassinate him when he planned a visit to Gaza a month ago, digging a tunnel under a road where his car was to pass and trying to fill it with more than 550 pounds of explosives. He said he received videotapes of the operation, showing militants with Hamas signs on their shirts carrying out the work. He dismissed Hamas claims that the explosives tunnel was aimed at Israelis.
I found this paragraph slightly comical because it makes it sound like if the explosives were truly aimed at the Israelis it would have been okay but because it was Abbas, it’s not.
I know that Abbas is known to be a moderate and has also been known to attempt to negotiate peace between the West, Israel, and Palestine. But I can’t help but ask myself if it is truly possible to have a moderate that is affiliated with radical Islam? Radical Islam wants nothing more than to take over the world; so how can you be affiliated with these terrorist factions and not lean toward their train of thought?
